I love the clear straightforward observations by this gifted, caring physician! ( And his dry sense of humor is an added benefit! 😋👍) My PCP thinks that despite my sky high HDL and my almost nonexistent Trigs I should be on a statin because my LDL is elevated. I told him NOT A CHANCE! (My Keto WOE coupled with 16:8 IF keeps me percolating energetically with my 88th birthday. arriving. in three weeks.. 🥳 )

Dr Paul Mason, You are a very wise physician. Your presentation was excellent. Your break down of LDL and how it affects the human body was very clear and easy to to comprehend. Please continue your medical teachings, Sir, to help people become healthy. Thank you and God bless you, in Jesus' name.☺️
  • Paul Mason is one of my favourite presenters. Intelligent, well researched and makes a huge effort towards education for all of us. Thank you Dr Mason.

Almost every presentation by Dr. Mason makes me smarter. I am just so grateful that I changed my diet in 2000 when Atkins came out. At that time I merely changed it to "low carb" but I feel that years of knowledge about carbs made it so I don't have a quarter of the health conditions most people around me do.

Most succinct and best illustration to understanding LDL (and statins) that I've seen yet. Thank you for such clear information!

Thank you Dr Mason. This is the most comprehensive explanation I have ever heard on cholesterol. I'm glad to have learned this. It is a simple base on which to have further discussions with interested people. Also glad to understand the actual effect of statins. I had understood about LDL & HDL being a transport mode and you make it very clear.
  • Thank you, Dr.Mason! This was the most lucid and helpful discussion of LDL particle size and LDL damage and linkage to atherosclerosis I’ve heard! Completely reverses what I thought I knew (and have been teaching my patients) about the lipid-heart hypothesis (May it R.I.P.)!
  • Paul Mason, always clear and concise. Too bad so many cholesterol "experts" are living in a little box on the corner the statin manufacturers desk.

At present, most doctors are working according to instructions, especially in developing nations. This is a good video to watch and understand what is actually happening in our body. Thanks!

As someone not in the medical or scientific community, I find Dr Paul Mason makes all this information so much more accessible and understandable than anyone else I've listened to on these subjects! He's a fantastic presenter!

I had a widow maker, two stent later, now on a keto diet. Three months have lost 17 kilos of weight. Back to gym, surfing and on the bicycle. No sugar , about twenty grams of carbohydrate a day. I've never felt better.intermittent fasting 18/6 . My cardiologist was horrified at what my diet is now. Works for me.

It's very strange, when I go on a Keto diet, my weight goes down, energy goes up and I NEVER crash! However, when I follow the doctors orders (low fat higher "healthy" carbs) I feel horrible, tired all the time and I can't stay lean for ANYTHING! It's crazy that people don't accept the fact that you must do what makes you FEEL optimized. I don't even eat fruit anymore!
  • I cannot thank you enough for the breakdown in this vital information. I have been recently given a high LDL reading and I’m exploring how I can better understand my risk (or not) and avoid being prescribed a statin if possible.
  • Thank you, Dr. Paul Mason!!! Love your videos!! They’re awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This presentation is the best yet of information regarding LDL levels, LDL particle size, and effects of statins. Thank you!

Very good lecture. I'm one that cannot tolerate statins - my doctor tried to convince me that the pain was worth the gain or the gain was worth the pain. NOT for me. The side effects of statins and many other of the pharma money makers are SCARIER than death. I'll live the rest of my life as a low carb/keto person.
  • Legend! Thank you! My gp called me after my bloods returned freaking out my ldl and cholesterol was high. Funny thing is I am leaner and healthier now that my ldl is higher than 2-4 years back when I was overweight, lethargic and on a low fat med carb diet.
