    They were wonderful together. Married nearly 40 years. They seem like best friends and it’s lovely to see. Michael was a well respected, much loved tv personality who made you think he was in it with you because he was. He will be much missed. Feel so sad for his wife and family.

I loved his programmes and his personality was such a special mix of enthusiasm and humour and the weird and wonderful things he did in the name of science were really great!
