Welcome to Bedrock Guide Season 3! This series is here to walk you through the game of Minecraft that exists on PC, Mobile devices (some still call MCPE), Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch. In this series it is my goal to help you make the most of your world, starting with the most basic of things in the game, through understanding redstone, game mechanics, and how to build/design your own farms!

If you enjoy the series, you can show it by hitting the like button, and commenting on every episode! I will often ask you to give your tips, tricks, and advice in the comments, and I will frequently either use them myself in future episodes, or even display your comment in an episode as a tip of the day!

Just finished taking your advice from this video, I have just got 2 stacks of diamonds, 4 stacks of iron, 9 stacks of red stone, 12 stacks of copper and 7 stacks of coal, I've NEVER mined so well in all the years of playing minecraft, thank you so much for your help

If you ever wonder why you're making the videos you create or if you begin to think none of it is worth it, please remember, you're doing amazing. You're helping a lot of kids and adults play a game that helps them escape reality and have fun without it being a constant learning curve. Thank you for your time. Thank you for who you are and sharing your adventure with us. We are listening to you, we hear you and we wouldn't want it any other way then the way you enjoy it. Keep going for everybody and don't stop for nobody. Most of all, yourself.

The decorating is always what I look forward to the most. Nothing over the top and obtainable in early game. Moon did a great job. I mean, I guess you did too Prowl 😉
  • 54 is a good level and if you have the iron for buckets, you can build a nice furnace array down there and actually recycle that lava into fuel for smelting the things you are mining down in the caves. I will also sometimes just move it around to use as a light source. Bucketing lava does expose more blocks if you are really using it up (and I'm normally using it as a primary fuel source for potato cooking, rock and ore smelting, etc). Also, obsidian is a pain to get rid of once it is there, so I normally just mine up enough for a gold farm (around 90), a few gateways (10-14 each), and some ender chests (8 each). So, three stacks and I never want to see the stuff in the overworld again - you can always get more from the end or piglin bartering. I mention that as well because I usually don't STAY on 54. Branch mining and poke holes are also the beginnings of some good strip and moss mining (and I have started even higher for that purpose as well). TNT in those poke holes will quickly open up the area with minimal loss of ore (TNT doesn't fortune 3 anything it hits) and once you have that open strip mine, you can moss mine it down to the bedrock with very little effort. Not only are you going from 2 layers mined (54 and 53), you are getting 5 more solid layers below in about the same time as it took for 2. Of course, my real motivation is to get a big open area at the bottom of the world to build ugly farms in so that I don't have to watch them work. Oh, and the layer cake mining under your base is also great for making sure you have lit up the area's caves for any mob farms you might do. It is, honestly, insane how nice you make your mines look.
  • If you hold crouch while on the ladder you stay in one spot and can do other stuff like mine. Don't have to bounce while spamming W. I also mine out 5 blocks at a time for ease of counting, then place a torch every 20 blocks to help count how far I've traveled.
  • @JupiterJamie
That smooth diorite with the deepslate tiles looks very nice together. Excellent and very informative episode. I loved it!
  • @ruse_d_news
If you mine in the desert at your lvl -54 you'll also find fossils. Which can have a group of 1 to 6 diamonds around it. Maybe more not sure.
  • @HazMattAtk
Pro tip of the day: one block lower than Y=-54 is Y=-55. Which is where lava lakes begin to form! :_prowlFacepalm:
  • @RedLameDog
I feel completely out of the loop with mining nowadays not doing early game for a while. This was good!
  • @1Ryat
Branch mining is better than strip mining.
  • @Pumpkin-to9ez
BTW space out your poke holes by two blocks its more effective
  • To save on torches, place a torch every 20 blocks. (Place a torch, the next block after it is block 1.) Yeah, build that skeleton spawner farm. Mend that pickaxe even faster. (Do you need to kill with pickaxe or have it in hand (while trading) for it to mend? How does the mending mechanic work exactly?) Tip: Beds. Not too long ago I experienced how scary it is to beat the clock before your dropped items expire. Racing from the surface was nerve racking. Having a closer respawn point is always nice.

This was a fun episode! The decorations look great for the diamond layer!
  • @Lurkental
Thank you for the tip! I will try to use this on my next ep🤩
  • It's not an early game tip at all, but I've having a better time mining under water with the help of a conduit. More mobility, mining speed, no light sources needed, less hazards, and more diamonds overall due to no air exposure.
  • @AtticHaunt321
Good for you, decorating with diamond blocks! Once you have your diamond gear, splurging on flex decorations is fantastic. And if you need the diamonds before you are able to mine more, you can always reclaim them and replace your decorations later.
