When it comes to spring tourism in Kyoto, cherry blossom viewing is a must. The sight of cherry blossoms adorning the beautiful streets and temples is a unique scene of Kyoto. This year, the cherry blossoms in Kyoto bloomed later than usual. Due to the slow rise in temperatures in March, they were delayed compared to previous expectations. However, on April 5th, the specimen trees reached full bloom, and popular cherry blossom spots throughout the city bustled with activity as crowds of people enjoyed the spring atmosphere embellishing the ancient capital.

2024年4月５〜７に撮影。春の京都観光といえばお花見。美しい町並みや寺社に桜が映える姿は京都ならではの風景。今年の京都の桜は、平年より遅くなりました。3月の気温の上がりが鈍かったため、これまでの予想より遅れてましたが、４月５日に標本木が満開を迎え市内各地の桜の名所はにぎわい、大勢の人たちが古都を彩る春の風情を楽しんだ。
