  • Vegas/San Jose is an incredible rivalry. They hate each other, the fans hate each other, and I love watching these teams play.
  • @Ironslag
Always love the little beep at the beginning of the video -Go Canucks Go!
  • @zaboknowsbest13
Doesn’t feel like anyone is giving the sharks any credit. There was literally hundreds of missed calls in this series. Greatest series I’ve ever watched!
  • @burgnutt8378
I’m not even a fan of these teams and I was waiting for this
  • @messwright5
This game/series is definitely gonna go down in the books as one of the classics, that's for sure
  • @axv05
I feel for you vegas fans, but hey, at least u didn't win 62 games only to get swept by the 8th seed
  • @kierannishio
I would like to officially welcome vegas to the NHL!! You aren't a real team until you experience this kind of heartbreak
  • @dougrabbit8837
What a beautiful winning goal. Erik Karlsson with that setup was perfection.
  • To be fair the "botched call" was a penalty call not a goal call. There was another "botched call" that disallowed a Sharks goal in game 2 of this series, odds are it was gonna even out. Also based on the blood, the ref was bound to react accordingly. Vegas should have done a better job on the kill. When you play the more physically aggressive way Vegas does, you can't expect not to get called on an extra thing here and there when the refs expect it. Vegas shouldn't blame the call for their loss, it was that god-awful PK unit that sank them. I should clarify, I'm an Avalanche fan who was watching this game to "scout the competition"

Hi Shannon. Glad I finally had a chance to sit down and hear your take on this game. As a Sharks season ticket holder, I was fortunate enough to be there last night and you are absolutely right, this was the most improbable series of events I've ever seen in a hockey game. I'm still in utter disbelief about what happened last night... hands down the most insane hockey game I've ever watched and I got to see it in the flesh. Unreal. Anyways, as someone who was at the game, I thought you might appreciate my take on the Pavelski incident since you really do get a whole different perspective on the game while watching live. I understand that you have expressed resentment for the Sharks numerous times throughout the history of this channel and please know that I hold nothing against you for that, but to say that there was no reason that cross check should have resulted in a five minute major is absolutely ridiculous. Are you seriously going to argue that a play which results in the opposing captain being knocked out cold in front of his home crowd, in possibly his last game with the Sharks, while the game is looking to be a sure victory for Vegas, is not going to result in a five minute major?? Nope. BS. I've watched enough of your channel to know that you know better than this. In that context, that play will result in a misconduct 11 times out of 10. What you didn't see were the numerous instances leading up to that moment where Vegas players behind the play took whacks and jabs specifically at Pavelski. There was one moment in the second period where Pavelski and Stastny got into a brief shoving match as the play transitioned away and Stastny took a shot at Pavelski's face, clearly intending to re-aggravate his facial injury. The ref saw it happen and skated alongside Stastny as he coasted off for a line change and said some words to him and the Vegas bench. That was their warning. When it happened again once the game appeared to be out of reach, the only option the ref had was to toss somebody. May have not gotten the right guy, but it was 100% the right call and ultimately Vegas showed that they don't have the championship resolve you need in order to overcome a situation like that. Thanks again for the video. I hope I was able to help clarify why that was called the way it was.
  • @Mjulin11
Can't believe this! I'm in Sweden. I set the alarm for ridiculously early to watch the second half. Vegas up 3 nothing. "Nah, sharks are out. I'm going back to bed." Whhhhhhyyyyyy did I do that???? 😢😢😢
  • @rahvin37
There's no double-minor on a cross-checking penalty, so it's either a single-minor or a major (which includes an auto misconduct). The refs thought Eakin's hit deserved more than a minor penalty. You can blame the refs for the call, which I think is fair, but you can’t blame them for allowing 4 goals in the same power-play. VGK's PK on that major was atrocious. That's on them, and not on the refs.
  • @jackpercy1485
What a game. That was unreal. This is why hockey is the greatest sport in the world. You don’t see this kind of stuff in other sports. 🙌
  • @STARPHASE
It's a simple fact that the call is to the refs discretion. Pavelski was injured SERIOUSLY. I don't think the refs could see that, real time, and not call it a major. I'm a Kings fan, so have no love for either team. But that was a nasty incident. The cross check lead to the hit by Stasny, and the refs saw that, and decided to call it a major. It probably shouldn't have been a major, but the refs decided it should have been, and I think that's fair. It's their call to make, and I don't blame them for it. The contact was severe enough, being off the faceoff, and the severity of the injury, that they called it a major. The point about the Vegas PK is also great to make. They played so great on the PK all series, but just disappeared for that 5 minute call. BUT even more than that call, and that PK, Vegas blew a 3-1 series LEAD against the Sharks! The San Jose Sharks, who have been chokers since before they were even called the Sharks! Can't blame game 5 and 6 on a 5 minute penalty. Vegas had plenty of chances to end the series, and couldn't do it. That's on them, not the penalty. They couldn't end the series in game 5 and 6. They couldn't kill the 5 minute penalty, and they couldn't score in OT when they had A LOT of chances in OT. More and better chances than the sharks.
  • I really dislike when people say so-in-so deserves to win prematurely. Whoever crosses the finish line first deserves to win. GK being up 3-0 with about 10mins left still don’t deserve anything because they simply failed to finish.
  • You know what I’m most happy about? Dallas, Colorado, STL, or SJS; one is going to the cup final
  • @samuelfrick3475
I feel really bad for the Vegas fans for the heartbreak. But, I also feel bad for Pavelski. I don’t cheer for anyone to get hurt. Hope he gets well cuz he’s a beast for them. Unbelievable series and I respect both teams for the emotion and passion they’ve put for this game. Congrats San Jose on the series win
  • @GSonDunn
That call was rough, yes, but I believe the Goalie Interference call in game 2 was pretty bad as well
  • @AweShiyte
You know, there are division "rivalries" and then are true rivalries. This is a true rivalry in the making.
  • @GJMinimizer
Die hard VGK fan just giving my two cents. Was it a penalty? Absolutely! Was it worthy of a five minute major? In my opinion no. Even though they had to kill a five minute major, there is no way we should have given up 4 goals in 4 minutes. That is ridiculous in a playoff game, let alone a game 7! It hurts more because it was against the Sharks, which quickly has become our biggest rivals in the league. The point I think no one has really touched on is even though they made it look easy, it is beyond difficult to score four goals in four minutes in any game, even if you are on a power play for the duration of it, so kudos to the Sharks for actually pulling it off! Plain and simple, and remember I’m saying this as a die hard Knights fan, if we can’t hold a three goal lead with less than ten minutes left in game 7 of a playoff series, then we don’t deserve to win the series. Plus, don’t forget we gave up a 3-1 series lead and couldn’t close out the Sharks in three straight games. Bad calls aside, we had a great season and I fully expect us to be right back in the playoffs again next season. As much as I hate to say this as a VGK fan, congrats to the Sharks on winning the series. Good luck the rest of the way.
