Dont't forget medball throws. Increases the effectiveness of the kinetic chain while also training rotational power. Also allows a player to mimic the throwing motion without actually throwing which can greatly reduce the volume of throws on the arm
  • One interesting thing about training reactive abilities audibly with outfielders is that most good outfielders will use their ears to aid them with reacting to fly balls because they will be able to adjust more easily by gauging how hard the ball is hit by the crack/ping of the bat. Great video!

Dont forget about god, bless you all❤
  • Dane, love your channel! I would greatly appreciate more baseball/fastpitch S&C content. My daughter is a higher level fastpitch player and is striving for that D1 opportunity. She’s still in 8th grade but plays at the 18U level and hits for power and average. I am her strength coach but am always concerned about injury from overtraining, especially in season training. MLB has been plagued with injuries and I often wonder if overtraining in the gym has anything to with it. For instance when Noah Syndagard went on the IL because of his pulled lat. That was the year he showed up jacked at spring training and boasted a 500lb deadlift. As you said, joint integrity is key but my daughter has already undergone PT for her wrist and does have some right shoulder discomfort. I’m very careful with her but still paranoid. Again, absolutely love your channel! Thank you

The video was extremely helpful but what kind of workouts should I be using that focuses on what you listed instead of hypertrophy

What I am trying to figure out is how to breathe correctly when lifting weights during a bicep curl, ab workout or squat and bench press. Please, thank you.
  • @Kxsic
What you want to focus on in the weight is don’t lift too heavy and make where you muscle can handle it mostly and the reps those out and then once it gets too light that’s when you start to up it
  • Would this also be effective for cricket players? Since batting is similar and requires rotational power and quick reactions and bowling and throwing/fielding requires joint integrity.
  • I’m right handed whenever i swing the bat, i pull/sprain my left shoulder muscles on the back and then afterwards can’t swing the bat or it pains. Can someone help me out
  • Baseball has to be one of the most technical sports to program strength and mobility around. "Squat? No, not applicable. We gotta get movements that replicate baseball movements. Here take this band, tape, box, and medicine ball...don't forget the bar. Balance on the box with 1 foot while throwing the ball with the bar propped against your torso...now JUMP"
