Here today is my cover of Unicron’s Theme by Vince DiCola, from “The Transformers: The Movie (1986),” celebrating its 37th anniversary today!
This movie changed Transformers as a franchise forever, and without it, we wouldn’t have many of the best stories and characters we’ve seen since! Above all else, we wouldn’t have the main villain of the film, the monster planet, Unicron! With a voice provided by the late great Orson Welles in his last ever film appearance, and this theme by Vince DiCola (which has proven so enduring and tied so closely to the character that it even returned alongside him in the newest film, “Rise of The Beasts”), Unicron immediately made a giant, lasting mark on the franchise, and continues to terrify and menace the Transformers to this day!

I personally never liked the title of “chaos bringer” for Unicron. Unicron doesn’t cause much chaos, he more just silences the Universe, which is way scarier.

Happy 37th Anniversary to a movie that Orson Welles, Robert Stack, and Leonard Nimoy carry after Starscream died. (I still like it though) Still the best Unicron and best Unicron theme to this day, a fitting tribute! The funny part here is that Gojirawars03 UNDOUBTEDLY put more care in for Unicron with this than Orson Welles himself did when he did the role in the movie. 😆 (Yet hes still the best Unicron if you ask me)

I havent watched the original movie in a long time, but I can easily say you really recaptured the 80s dark synthwave vibe. Nice job!

I didn't watch anything related about classic transformers (not because I didn't want it but because it never arrived in my country) but I watched Transformers Energon, Transformers Armada, Transformers animated, Transformers Prime and even it's less interesting sequel for a bit and I felt a bit guilty for not watching the original series and it's first movie. I think it's time for me to watch it so I can better appreciate the series.
