I visited the Pantheon in May. It was spectacular. It was free but I would gladly pay an entrance fee to keep this world treasure maintained for another two thousand years.

Your videos have been incredibly helpful in preparing for my upcoming trip to Rome! They've already saved me from so many potential headaches and made planning my family vacation a breeze. Thank you for providing such valuable content!
  • @lakelandflorida
We bought our tickets before leaving Florida, thanks to your info. We went today. Walked right in. The lines for buying tickets were crazy long. Thanks again gator girl.
  • @gkmacbeth8225
Thank goodness I visited a few years ago when there was no fee. I went just as it opened for the day and was able to marvel at this structure all by myself for a few minutes. Priceless.

Rome is the top of my 'bucket list'. I would love to spend a month there and Naples. I love your videos. They make my mouth water.
  • Me & my partner was there last week & the que to pay was way to long to stand in , so we used the QR code on the notice board & i got one of guards to help us & he was really helpful, it took me about 5 minutes to do once i registered & paid by PayPal, so in all took me about 10 & then we were in ..

Another option: if you are staying at a place with a front desk or concierge, ask them to charge the tickets to your account/room and get the electronic tickets from them. Have an idea of when you want to go, you could do this before you get to Rome or once you're there.

Great video as always. Looks like I just missed you. We tried to buy tix online (on a pc) for Sat (when you were there) and wouldnt accept my credit card. PayPal was NOT an option on the site unfortunately. So, we went Sat afternoon to try again. I scanned the QR code at the entrance which took me to the same govt website which, again, wouldnt accept my visa and no paypal option. The payment issue was REALLY frustrating and there were dozens of people near me cussing at their phones as they had the same problem. So, at 5pm we decided to stand in the blazing sun to pay CASH for tix. After 15 mins in line we were told it was too late and they closed the line due to high volume of visitors ahead of us (they close at 630pm). Since we only had one more day I bit the bullet and paid 45 Euros (x3) for a skip the line guided tour the next day (today). Frankly, your videos were more informative than the guide and it was a waste of money but the Pantheon itself is amazing. I'm sure they'll get it sorted out soon, but it was very frustrating. PS - we had other bookings every morning so that messed us up. Follow Elyssa's advise and GET THERE EARLY!
  • @NandaInUS
Elyssa - This video was helpful in booking Pantheon tickets online. I struggled a bit but I was able to book using Paypal from the USA. Thank you so much.
  • I will still visit the Pantheon. It's not a huge entrance fee. It's worth it! Thank you for all your vlogs. I hope i can meet you when i go back there in Rome.
  • @ralfjansen9118
5 € is nothing for what you get, visiting that amazing monument. Imagine you travel around the world to see Rome, stay a week or two (recommended, IMHO) and then go cheap on the Pantheon?! Even if one comes only for the great food, some spots are just a must.
  • @joehsy1
Thanks for the great content as always! I was there July 6th mid afternoon and glad I got the tickets online as the lines for both credit card and cash were really long. Definitely glad I discovered I could use PayPal as I tried multiple times with different American CC and could not buy. Got one free pass on the site for my son who was under 18 as well. Absolutely worth paying the fee as the Pantheon is quite amazing to behold in person and glad to contribute to the upkeep!
  • In my opinion the best option is not to buy in advance. There is (to the right) most of the time no line, most people do not know this: you pay in cash (or with your card) there and you can get in most of the time much faster than people who have online tickets :-) The line often is short that you do not see it. If you have a teacher's licence or similar you get discount.
  • @707astrojet
Bought our tickets online and started at 9am. Your advice is greatly appreciated! ❤️❤️❤️
  • @DTZ37
As always, great information and details! Really appreciate you and your husband giving travelers insider knowledge to make traveling to and visiting Rome much more enjoyable! 😁 I have visited the Pantheon a couple of times when it was free, (gorgeous!) If I want a refresher next trip, I would pay the five euro fee 😊 Thank you! 🌻
  • Thanks for sharing. I was there in 2015. When someone walk trough Pantheon's gates, go in to Roman Empire. It's amazing.
  • @vickycameron632
Charging to see great art and architecture is not OK because it eliminates the possibility of study. It's ok to pay but study requires many returns and the reservations are a pain in the butt! Now it's just for tourists.
  • @euroschmau
If I visit Rome again, it will have to be in mid winter...these summer crowds, lines and the heat seem insufferable!
  • @wilson9hern
The Charge Is Understanding For The Up Keep, I Can't Wait To Be There. Thank You For The Information.
