Destiny 2's Lore and Story tells us about Nezarec's power and how he's even strong enough to drive guardians mad. The Root of Nightmares raid armour tells us about a Titan called Briar who lost his sight, his home, how power and even his ghost to the influence of Nezarec. This titan was of course then picked up by the infamous Acolytes of Nezarec.

  • The lore of Briar is both fascinating and terrifying. I think that comparison between Nezarec and Nyarlathotep is growing more and more apt.

It would have been cool if in the raid he had a second phase where psions showed up to pull us into his mindscape to finally get rid of his nightmares
  • Being a light bearer and to be tormented by nezarec must be absolutely horrifying. Not just being tormented but the fact that you can just be resurrected over and over again
  • If Nezarec can haunt someone when they only had a small part of him wth is he gonna be able to do to Osiris from drinking the dark tea made from parts of Nezarec…

Imagine if bungie would create a “virus” inside the game. If you’ve ever worn any pieces of the Nezarec raid, you’ll start hearing whispers and see shadows moving on the edge of your vision from time to time. You’ll start getting sounds of screams coming up behind the normal soundtrack, and it builds up to the return of Nezarec in a Dungeon, where you get a “insanity” debuff that you have to clean up somehow. (Or just do the dungeon with the debuff)

It seems that paracausual beings shape destiny through willpower and the Guardian is the most adept at this as far as I know we are literally forcing nezzy's influence to not effect us anymore ever since shadowkeep and season of the Haunted
  • It always freaks me out when a guardian attacks their own ghost. Feels wrong.

I think it would have been a great touch to add random Visions to any Guardians who run the RON raid. Not even a complete encounter, just stepping 1 foot into the Witnesses ship causes hallucinations or weird distorted screen effects all season.

Scarily enough I don’t think we have killed nezerac. I don’t think he can be killed lore wise. Even if his physical form is long gone as long as fear exacts nezerac will live on.
  • the repeated mention of "Of Hated Nezarec" or whatever the book is called is making me think of "The King in Yellow." I want to know more about the book and it's power though.

Just got around to completing the Lightfall campaign on my Warlock, and the Exotic Engram that Nimbus rewards me with turns into............Nezarec's Sin........

Imagine how terrifying it must be to encounter something so powerful even something thought immortal doesn’t stand a chance.

This was actually very appealing. Like Byf said the way fear works, it always crawls back. Humans are wired to feel certain emotions even when they aren’t there. For example: if you are fearing of something in the short future and that fear becomes resolved, it is usually inevitable that u subconsciously find something else to fear. Our minds like to go back to a normal state regarding emotion.
  • Nezarec in Lore swole Nezarec in game smooth round “normal”Spongebob
  • Im gonna be honest, I'm more interested in the acolytes of Nerzarec than Nerarec himself.

I’ve read these, but I enjoy listening to you. Don’t take this the wrong way, but years back, your reading would kind of put me to sleep… no matter how compelling the passage… But over time I’ve noticed it doesn’t anymore. I think you’ve gotten a lot better at reading/narrating out loud and I’m really enjoying listening to you read these stories! Thank you and keep up the good work!
