The original post or video put up by somebody else seems to have disappeared from YouTube, took me a while to find this on some random Japanese video sharing platform. Excuse the audio quality, I acknowledge that it's complete shit and would like to remind you that it's probably a video screengrab of that previous post, either ways hoping someone has a better recording of this and uploads it!
I DO NOT OWN THE VIDEO OR ANY OF THE CONTENTS OF THE VIDEO. Will take it down if asked, in case i am violating any copyrights etc etc.

The cadence, the phrasing, the pristine tone, the fluidity... That’s another level! Eternal respect!

I think Hilary is 17 here! Just incredible. This performance is unbelievably good.

The list of violin gods just got bigger by one.

can we agree that most people here can actually listen to this nonstop for at least 8 hrs?

Asked my tutor how long I would need to learn it and to play like her,"you got to be imortal", ok. so never.

I don't know anything about classical music but one thing I am certain of, is that this is the most stunning thing I've ever heard....! Wow it's just pure magic 😍
-
I don't know if anybody noticed this but I just laughed the professor's little head bob at 0:59

I recognize Dutch tv presenter Han Reiziger who died in 2006. From 1989 to 2001 he had a famous program on television, ‘Reiziger in muziek’ which translates as ‘traveller in music’. A program that showed various types of music.

This has not a bad sound. It is very clear. Too CleaR in fact and full of vitality of a young and brilliant soulful interpreter of JSB’s music I think the professor watching just realized he’s in the presence of a violin genius.

I admire her ability to sustain that energy and phrasing.

For all the non string players out there, the most impressive thing is not the speed or even the articulation. It's how it doesn't sound like she makes a single shift or string change. If you listen on Spotify, the rapid alternating notes almost sound like they're played on the same string, in the same position. Today, Hilary is simply a goddess, no questions asked. As far as violinists are concerned, she's up there with Michael Jackson. But watching godling Hilary, who hasn't yet reached her final form, you realize just what a phenomenal talent she is. This is a standard many seasoned soloists today aspire to. It's just disgustingly good. And she's still improving. My adult beginner self could never.
