  • just realized he stopped himself from throwing the hat down not because he wanted to control his anger but because it's the last memento he has of his brother holy shit

The animation in this anime is top tier. Looks so realistic.
  • Can we all just appreciate the fact that he’s actually wearing a wig and not just draping a towel over his head?

The “pizza brothers” lore continues to expand

As good as ProZD's comedic acting is, his dramatic acting is on a whole other level.

Thomas Manga really threw us all for a loop with this character development. The anime's choice of having an upbeat intro but an emotional outro with "Pepperoni Pizza Pie~" shows the contrast of loving pizza and yet at the end of the day questioning the value of what it all means. "A Slice of Life" really is in a class of its own. Such an original piece of content.
  • Headcanon: His brother gave him the hat on their opening day, when he made his first pizza for his friends just before closing time. He stood by his side the whole way, never stepping in directly, but giving him direct and indirect advice that later doubles as life advice. Maybe it was talent, maybe it was beginner's luck, or maybe it was his brother's coaching and his own love of the craft, but there was something special about it. Every last one of them knew it the moment they tasted it, perhaps none moreso than his childhood friend, who stayed behind the longest to tell them she'd happily work with them when they started hiring. She loved him, of course, and his older brother knew it. He looked forward to seeing them work together, slowly nudging them in the right direction until they finally spit it out and got together. But that could wait; for now, they headed up to the roof of their pizza parlor. It wasn't a remarkable view by any means, only reaching two stories at most, but at this exact time of day, when they sat on their chairs and looked out towards the bay, they could see the sun setting over the seaside shacks and summer homes, as flags danced in the wind all along the glistening waters. That day, as they sat and talked, he gave his little brother his old chef's hat, the same one he had worn when he used to cook for them when their parents were out of town. They didn't say much that evening, due to a mix of exhaustion from a hard day's work, and emotion at their dream finally coming true, but that simple gift said more than words ever could. He loved him, and he was proud of him, and he looked forward to watching him grow, both as a chef and as a person. The accident was two weeks later.
  • That part where his mustache falls off out of sheer sadness cut me like a knife.
  • The fact the Pizza anime is actually becoming a running gag but actually interesting really shows how great this guy is at skits.

When the title translates to ‘Pizza Brothers’ this whole episode makes a lot more sense, of course the loss of a brother would affect the tone of the show.
  • @anxieturt
The mustache falling off killed me way more than it should’ve.
  • The loss of the mustache indicating the change in character growth, is what makes this anime top tier.

Everyone else has commented on how great an actor SungWon is in this, so I'll just leave this comment to hope that he does a full Anime-Style "That's Amore" cover
  • The opening of The Promised Neverland always gets me. An orphanage of adorable children, raised like cattle so their brains can be subsumed by demons, and then in comes the "YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!" pop beat.
  • @earlybird2835
No matter how dark the anime is, the opening always pops the F off
  • @Arlock41
The fact that he doesn't break character when the mustache falls off just kills it for me.🙂
  • @Silverwind87
Heading the credits theme immediately after the ending to episode 11 of Delicious in Dungeon.

"Kurapika is now drowning in indescribable sadness" sick guitar with badass drums
