When we hear the word ‘pain’, we often associate it with different experiences. Human pain either physical pain or emotional pain, it has always struck a chord. A human pain scale is fundamental in what we feel. It is part of our daily ventures. Pain as described by Healthline.com as ‘uncomfortable sensations in the body’. It may be characterized by different types according to the severity of the pain - acute or chronic. A Human pain scale can be fixed, throbbing, stabbing, aching, pinching, or described in many other ways. Acute pain is usually severe but brief while chronic lasts a long time. Acute pain can be easily described and observed. Chronic pain cannot be easily described as pain changes over time.

Pain is subjective. It depends on the person experiencing and describing it. People may feel and pain differently. Two persons may have the same pain but may describe it differently. Various strings are attached to a person experiencing pain and mostly, there are negative. A person’s ability to a quality of life may be impacted negatively by pain. It diminishes the possibility of having a normal life.

There are many ways to measure pain. A human pain scale is measured by a dolorimeter. Dolorimeter is an instrument used to measure pain tolerance and pain threshold. The unit of measurement is dol from the Latin word ‘dolor’. It is listed as one of the unusual units of measurement like dog years and light-years. It was introduced by professors at Cornell University as a way to evaluate the effectiveness of pain reliever medications in the 1940s. For the past 6 months we've been paying our creator team of 6 out of pocket with no income from our videos. Recently we reached the monetization threshold and we got monetized! Three weeks later YouTube demonetized our channel for "mass-produced or auto-generated content". I can assure you our videos are not auto-generated. Each video takes at least 6 hours for our team to create, research/data collection, custom photoshop artwork, find music, video editing and uploading. • Story time! So when I was 10, I went to school on Take your child to work day. I enjoyed most of the day but towards the end of school, I had a really dense and sharp pain in my lower stomach and it felt like I was getting repeatedly stabbed. I immediately called my dad and when he picked me up we went to the urgent care, a smaller version of the hospital. They told me to go to a Radiologist and there they scanned my stomach. They really weren't supposed to tell me what I had but I was glad that the doctor we had told us the severity of the pain I had. I then went to the hospital and they immediately diagnosed me with appendicitis. I waited about an hour before they finally called me in for surgery. And just imagine all this happening and you're just a 10 year old who has gone through all this over just a couple hours. That turned out to be the first surgery I ever had. The feeling of anastasia running through your blood was the worst part. I couldn't walk for a week post-op. Thanks for reading my story! And sorry If i wasted your time.

I unfortunately had a kidney stone once. It was due to dehydration from having the stomach flu. While my stone was less than a millimeter in diameter, it was easily the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life.
