Hi everyone! I tested out the 3 day packing method from ‪@TrippedTravelGear‬ to create a week's worth of outfits and I loved the results! This is a great exercise if you want to get creative with what you already have.

On this channel, I share #slowfashion and #sustainablefashion tips that center around how to #shopyourcloset, and restyling pieces you already own. I also spotlight brands that I believe in every now and then. I believe in #creativityoverconsumption, and that we all have the power to be conscious consumers.

Slow fashion looks different for everyone, and I'm so grateful you share this space with me!

  • Hi Alyssa, I’ve just turned 73 and live in Adelaide South Australia and I love your videos. I still enjoy dressing in a modern and current way and have gained so much inspiration from you. I am now much more creative with my clothes. Thank you😊
  • @ConserveMore
You put together a capsule like no other! I love the color and variety you use. You have a real eye for being able to combine pieces. So interesting and unique!
  • You once or twice did ‘collaborations’ with your mother. Both of you wearing the same item/s but styled differently. I’m closer in age to her than you (I’m retired, actually), so her looks really interested me. Any chance you will be doing more of these mother/daughter presentations?
  • @rbraxton00
Yes, thank you. You’ve helped me with my packing for London the end of the month. Very nice and simple.

Hello Alyssa! Long-time subscriber and fan of your content from Vancouver, BC. I stumbled on the Tripped video when I was packing for a three-day trip last month to a casual, beachy locale with a celebration in a fine dining restaurant. I tried this method and it was GENIUS. I even included the “what if’s” Tripped recommended that you didn’t cover in this video…what if it rains? What if the restaurant is more casual than I thought? What if my bathing suit is wet but I want to go swimming again? I was sceptical that I would end up with a mountain of clothes, but I didn’t — even though I needed four pairs of shoes to cover all the essential, everyday and travel day activities — everything fit in my small under-the seat carry-on with room to spare. I was stunned. Never felt more prepared, comfortable and always appropriate on a trip. My go to packing system from now on. Also, the combinations of outfits between the days seemed to be endless…Colder weather clothes will need a larger carry-on for this method, but I can see now how it can work in winter, too. Great idea to try for a week of outfits at home!
  • I’m loving your new style of dressing…is more fun/flirty but still functional. Those brown pants you got on with the black cropped shirt are so awesome 👍

This was fantastic, Alyssa. I can't wait to try this out. It's now 2120hrs here in Western Australia 😊 So tomorrow lookout. I wear hospital scrubs all the time, which I think has really impacted my ability to dress for normal daily life. So this technique really appeals. Your new black mini is gorgeous on you, and I personally love it with the stripped silk top. You do bombshell so well. It is so you. Your mums dress with your new strappy sandals, just magic. Thank you 💗

So fun! I love the no-added-stress of it being an exercise for home, rather than exclusively for travel. My wardrobe has been feeling a little stale and dull lately, and I'm inspired to try this for myself this coming week to see if it breathes some life back into my summer pieces.
  • @Katuchis
I love this method, I'll definitely give it a try. And thank you for being authentic and sharing about enjoying solitude. ❤
  • Yes yes yes - you've created a topnotch capsule of beautiful timeless pieces and colors!
  • @cheryl3366
Love the looks, but the one thing no one talks about is laundry, I can only get one day out of my light clothes. It would be good to include wash days.
  • @kinshasav
I love the Lily silk on you with the cream crop jeans and the skirt. I think it would look good with your wide-leg black pant
  • @Hillytrek
This is such a good idea. Simple, but you don't necessarily think to do it. On another matter, I wonder what you think about the current criticism of Sezane moving away from small collections and limited drops, quality questionability and producing more like 'normal' faster fashion brands?
  • @kjoy2215
Wow, you rocked this challenge! Everything looked gorgeous on you! I'm very inspired. Thank you
  • I thought this video was amazing. Very inspiring. I have the biggest struggle putting together versatile outfits and I think this approach will really help.
  • @Sorana44
I am doing this weekly. And its so refreshing and bring so much control and peace bc you don’t have to panic like you said when you have to rush out and the thing I like most its the fun part of creating outfits, I get so much inspo from you and others so, yeah I love this kind of video. Thank you!!
  • I’m going to try this method! As you point out Alyssa, major bonus points for more shoe options! lol! That’s always the hardest part about packing for me. 😅 Thanks for sharing.
  • I love that lily silk knit.. looks amazing on you. Video 👍
  • @amylee5808
I have a business trip coming up in a few weeks and I'm going to try this! Also, that sheer white button up is EVERYTHING! ❤
