Hi Kevy, Thanks for a great video! I recently found your channel thanks to a nod from Con Kazantzidis, and have been enjoying it very much. You do a wonderful job. I look forward to future videos. All my best, Chester

NIce shave, Kevy. No wonder that soap felt so good. I looked in up on Amazon and it was %56.88. Ouch.

Kevy - I should be getting the 610 in the US mail today and Proraso red soap and after shave lotion tomorrow. I own a '58 Fat Boy, Merkur Progress long handle (as I mentioned in your other post) and a Vikings Blade Chieftain. Yes, the Rockwell is on my radar. I've heard that Rockwell is coming out with a new razor model, so I might spring for that one later. Lastly, I just picked up a vintage 1970s Old Spice mug for $6.00 at a local antique store. Cheers!

How has the brush developed with use? I'm a fan of boar, Omega and Semogues, especially the Omega 49 - a monster lather machine. Liked the Boots witch hazel, a pleasant change from my usual plain. Good tip.
  • Kevy - I purchased the Semogue 830 a few months ago and my entire prep consited of just soaking it in dishwashing liquid for 10 minutes, then I rinsed it out and let it dry. I also didn't detect any smell at all before soaking.. I was waiting to see if you needed to reload for the 2nd pass, as my 830 didn't retain start retaining lather until about the 5th shave, when the bristles started splitting and the plumage of the brush started appearing. Here's another Old Spice suggestion: https://rewardme-in.secure.footprint.net/Assets/Modules/Campaigns/Product/Images/Product/Old-Spice-Musk-After-Shave-2-size-3.jpg
  • Hi kevy I take it from that you would recommend the semogue 610. The reason I ask is because I'm looking at it for my second brush as I've been using an exclusive shaving super badger
