Very good analysis. I particularly liked your description of Otto's tragedy, how he was a good and well-intentioned man suppressing evil desires he didn't even want, and how numerous factors, most of which were not his fault, but some of which were, drove him to evil. This version of Doctor Octopus is one of the most tragic game villains I have ever seen. Here are some suggestions I have for future episodes: Kingpin from Into the Spider-Verse Ur-Didact from the Halo franchise
  • Hi, it's me again. Thank you for fulfilling my long-awaited request and I am super impressed on your detailed explanation on Otto's descent into villainy. As much as I love Molina's portrayal of the character, Salyers' portrayal just takes the cake for me because there's more depth to his characterization and a more fleshed-out heartbreaking story between the mentor and the mentee. What makes his story even more tragic is that both Peter and Otto share the same trait: Perseverance. But what separates between the two is that Otto's character answers the question: What if a flawed yet persistent good man finally had enough? Yet again, thank you for making my video suggestion a reality. 😁
  • I hated Norman Osborn so goddamn much. I would have rooted for Otto 100% to kill him if he wasn’t going to sacrifice the city.
  • In the mind of a villain: Rafe Adler from Uncharted 4 A Thief's End or Joseph Seed from Far Cry 5
  • For your next video i was thinking you could prince hans and creek from trolls and queen barb from trolls world tour

  • The Story of this Version of Doc Ock is of Tragedy and Falling into Madness do to Bitter Anger and Pettiness and the worst part is do to those Mechanical Arms Affecting his Brain it’s possible that his Brain Damage is Permanent and that there’s no way to Fix It and that in many ways Otto used Peter and Betrayed him knowing the Damages he would cause and that the Good Man that wanted to Help and who he was Died.

Otto Octavius in Marvel's Spider-Man 2018 is basically Walter White, A.K.A. "Heisenberg" from Breaking Bad.
  • @FreakyTeeth
The trouble with Otto is that ultimately his degeneration comes from his "reckless youth", it's never clarified if it was him or Norman, or both who did it, but still, a life-time of having your brain messed up with chemicals would drive anyone crazy.
