Eddie Jobson brought his musical genius to Roxy at the age of only 18. He is now considered one of the top musicians in the world (having also been right-hand man to Frank Zappa and co-founder of UK). Great to see him recognized for his earliest work with Roxy Music, including his classic violin solo on 'Out of the Blue.'

Pure class! We'll never see another group like Roxy Music. Thanks Brian Ferry and all group members for the music and the memories.

For someone who has been involved in sound production (but appreciates overall production) and have lived long enough to see plenty of light and dark at 64 and experienced my own "Out of the Blue" awakening on a more modest level, this just bought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye at the same time... well deserved Bryan and all collaborators over half a century of creating marvellous music and professionally produced creative art with invigorating stage presence from all on stage...the very essence of style with a smile. To you all "Don't Stop The Dance"

Fantastic! For me, Eddie Jobson’s solo was always the highlight of Out Of The Blue apart from Mr Ferry’s thought provoking lyrics. So great to see it played here by the master himself and with all the panache of the studio version. 🤩

EDDIE PLAYING THE FAMOUS PERSPEX VIOLIN AGAIN...FANTASTIC

Great to see Chris Spedding on stage with the band. Awesome violin solo by Eddie Jobson. Roxy Music are absolutely deserving of the honor. Probably the most influential band in the world. Always years ahead of their time making alternative new wave music before there was a genre by that name. Bryan Ferry is the King of Cool and the classiest man alive.

For those wondering, Eno and Thompson weren't able to attend according to Manzanera, who said he reached out to both to see if they would come. Thompson has basically retired due to his arthritis and Eno for environmental reasons could not attend due to a carbon footprint pledge not to fly for year. Both were excited to be inducted, nonetheless.

Eddie makes his solo look so effortless, I want to crank up only the violin in ending!
  • @MyVidMix
So glad they played one of their songs with that ominous almost vampiric tone. Very hard to think of anything else with that oozing combination of power and style. Hypnotic and revitalising.
  • He is by far, the best classiest band ever!!!! He make's you want to 💃💃dance on the dance floor... So romantic.....❤❤❤....

I do like this live version better then the original, and that's a tough act to follow since most bands don't sound this great live!
  • Been a fan since 1972, when I was 14 school kid. A truly class band and so influential. Fully deserve their award.

I just listened to the original, then the live Midnight Special performance and now this. They have lost no edge in 45 years.
