****FOR HONDA ODYSSEY 2007. I'm not a mechanic!***
Thank you very much to this other user who identified the problem and showed what to do:    • FIX Honda Odyssey alarm going off for...

My switch looked slightly different, so I'm posting to help Odyssey 2007 owners.

Watch this video if your alarm goes off for no reason and you've tried everything.
If your alarm is going off RIGHT NOW:
1) Stop it by UNLOCKING your doors with your remote (double click)
2) Leave the doors unlocked AND open a door (OPEN--leave it ajar) to disengage the alarm system
2) Pop open the HOOD and unhook the latch; (pop open the hood if you have it inside your garage or don't care). Go back to sleep.
3) Then, disconnect the latch alarm system - shown in this video the next morning.
I'll check with my trustworthy mechanic if I need to replace it. I think this is a latch-specific alarm that goes off if someone were to try to pry open your hood (?).

  • You know, using the flashlight on your phone would really help. I still gave u thumbs up though. I did this with my 2007 & it still did not work. Then I removed the #13, 20amp fuse and it turned of the horn but not the alarm . The problem olis the the #13 fuse also is what allows you to take the car out of park.

BIG Thanks! 2010 Honda Odyssey looked the same. Your video gave me the confirmation I needed to disconnect this in May 2020. It went off at 2am last night.
  • You are awesome.... My alarm was going crazy and wouldnt stop. Our vacation home minivan was pissing off all our neighbors we only see 3x year. Now we're alarm free in 30 seconds and are no longer the neighborhood outcasts. May good Karma be with you and thanks for making that video.

OMG! Stupid alarm going off twice in the middle of the night. It's Saturday so didn't think we could take it in until Monday. I was NOT going to go through that again and our neighbors would kill us. So happy I found this video since the others were referring to a 2002 and ours is a 2006 which has a slightly different setup. Thank you!

Thank you very much. In my case (2008 Odyssey), the latch was sending wrong signal to the computer and drains the battery over night. This trick was very helpful and saved me some money. Thanks again.

Believe it or not, it’s still happening on later models. i have a 2017. I took it to the Honda dealership specifically for this issue a month ago. And apparently they never fixed it, although they told me they addressed my concerns.
