Someone spoke about an interesting theory about the D initial. And I have my own to add on to it. The D doesn't have any significant meaning. But it what it actually is, is a beacon. Those that have the D in their name are ancestors of the Dawn Pirates, the pirate crew formed by JoyBoy who's real name was Monkey Binks(as in Binks Brew) Think back to how many Ds we have met so far. Their last names are actually the first names of the very first pirate crew to ever set sail. Monkey Binks, Jaguar, Trafalgar, Marshal, Portgaz, Gol, Nefertari, and Rox. They were all members of Joyboys crew and after his demise they all split up and went into hiding, adding the initial D for dawn into their names so that way their descendants could form the original crew and free the world

I like how he always says "12 Year Old Bonney" instead of just saying "Bonney". It's like he's trying to remind himself that she is just a 12 year old and not an adult 😂😂

Thank goodness you said the line about Haki that Kaido mentioned that everyone instantly forgot the moment Bonney turned into a Gear 5 look alike.

I see the giant robot and all I can think is "prehistoric Franky". (Yes I know he's a Cyborg so its 'different') still I feel the similarities aren't something to be ignored when we know Franky has made giant robots in the past (as seen on Punk Hazard). The only other differences between Emet and one of Franky's creations (aside from strength) are the materials used to craft it, and the fact that Emet seems to have its own conciousness.

One Piece is wild since the start, but with these past chapters, it's getting wilder each time! Sad that there's a break next week, but we got blessed by multiple chapters without one! I wonder if the duration of Bonney's power to distort other's future is tied to her stamina or the affected one's.

With all the emphasis on haki in the last couple arcs and the near invisible gorosai. With emet knocking down one of this chapter. What if the key to beating them is no haki. After all, all living things can generate haki, can robots too

Copycat type of abilities are a very common trope in media so we have a good amount of material we know could have inspired Oda when he created the properties of “Distorted future”. In most media the drawback of this type of powers usually tends to be that the user can copy someone else’s power and the properties of it but not the user’s mastery using them and that they have access to this replicated power for a limited amount of time, with some exceptions of course. For example, a person that has been using an ability/power for years will have much more experience on how to use that power in several ways and will also be familiar with any negative effects of such powers and how to deal with them and that gives them an advantage over someone that just got it a few moments ago. What it seems to happen is that Bonney is able to conjure powers of alternative timelines were her path was different, but our Bonney does not have the mastery on the powers or abilities her other selves have. So the Bonney that was able to awaken the Nika fruit in another timeline surely would be acquainted with the power and would needed to have a certain level of Haki mastery but our Bonney does not, she has the access to the full power but also all the drawbacks and is not aware of how to properly use them nor does she has the needed Haki mastery so she can only manage the basic stuff, which for a power like the Sun god is still a huge power spike even if you can barely manage a fraction of it, and she is also not used on how taxing the power is. On top of being very tired already after all she has gone over without eating to refuel like Luffy has done, so it makes sense she was only able throw one punch before getting exhausted.
