You know how the randomizer has a setting that locks the ability to swim behind an item? Imagine if more basic abilities got locked behind items. You need to find glasses to read lore, you need to find vocal chords to talk to NPCs, you need to find an actual lawnmower to cut grass, you need to find a wallet to pick up geo, you need to find a backpack to pick up relics, you need to find a sales permit to sell and buy items
