No-Go Zones - World’s Toughest Places - Seven Mile Road in Detroit, USA

Red Zones: Philippines - The Dark Side of the Sea:    • Red Zones - World’s Toughest Places |...

For years, Detroit has been considered one of the most dangerous cities in the USA – and especially infamous is Seven Mile Road. This area is so tough that even the police only dare tread during the day. Ruled by the Seven Mile Bloods. One of the most notorious gangs in the city. Drug dealers, hustlers, killers and thieves – prepared to do whatever it takes to defend their territory. For over ten years gang leader Money controls the drug trade with an iron fist. A bloody territorial war keeps the gang in turmoil. To keep their rivals in check, boss Money needs a steady flow of new weapons. Only with the requisite firepower can they continue to dominate their territory and the other gangs – because the touch-paper might light at any moment. The violent crime rate in Detroit is five times higher than the rest of the country. In two thousand eighteen, over thirteen thousand crimes were reported, many more occurred. Seven Mile in particular is the front line for the bloody territorial battles that brutally define this no-go zone. For the police, every assignment is a risk, which is why bounty hunters are often used to go after criminals. A special unit of bounty hunters prepares for their next assignment on the outskirts of downtown. Tommy Depung leads the unit. So far, he’s arrested over twenty-five hundred criminals. Together with his team, they´re following a hot tip about a wanted drug and weapons dealer, and it’s taking them straight into the no-go zone…

I get selling crack in Detroit but that blood leader living with his smoke alarm beeping cause of a low battery just makes him a monster.
  • Imagine your regular dealer rolling up with a film crew up in his whip.. 🤣🤣😭
  • I used to live in Detroit and one time I got in a car accident on 7 mile. A cop car drove by as it happened and kept driving without stopping. True story.
  • @MrDulvalius69
The smoke detector in the background had me rolling..
  • The narrator sounds like he's describing gang life to suburban housewives.
  • @MrPhins
"Almost no one knows the true identity of the main members..." Except for the employees who are selling Halloween masks to these guys in June.
  • “It was the birth of his youngest son that woke him up.” 18:06 The other son(s) weren’t worth it I guess. 😂😂
  • Prayers go out to Michael and his family. It’s awesome to see him try to turn his life around
  • As a person who was born and raised in Detroit. It is dangerous but I walked these streets many years. I was a homeless drug addict and stayed in abandoned houses all up and down 7 mile. If you're weak you'll get eaten. I'm clean for 6 years now and don't go that way anymore. Can't believe I survived it.

I worked here as a hospice nurse. you'll also find some of the kindest people who have overcome so much. Vets who have fought for this country and people who built Detroit. treated with the respect you give.

My maternal family has been in neighbouring Windsor, Ontario (across the river) since 1952 (from London🇬🇧). I was born in Windsor in 1974, moved in 1977, and have been in British Columbia since 1981. My mother's 4 sisters and their kin all still live in Windsor. I haven't visited since 2004, but it's always amazed me how a mere, 2-3 minute drive between Windsor and Detroit is like ... day and night in terms of safety.

Imagine picking up from your dealer and he’s got a camera crew with him documenting 🤣

Person with the biggest balls in the world: The cameraman of this documentary.
  • Never thought I would see a documentary on this! Crazy but true. Born and raised in Detroit, off 7 Mile right down the street from Osborn High. Tough area is an understatement. The hood breeds 2 types of people: those who never want to leave and those who can’t be stopped from leaving. Left at 19 for a better life and never looked back. It’s my city and will always be my hometown but you can’t pay me to visit some of my childhood locations.

I was born and raised in Detroit. I lived off 7 mile for 13 years and never had a problem. I worked, and came home. And played basketball all around 7 mile. Grew up of 6 mile and livernois as well. Never had any problems. But its a lot different now.
  • I wish I was stable enough myself to help that man and his family get out of there. You can tell they're trying their best and love their kids.

"right hand man moe believes in being inconspicuous" as he walks down the sidewalk in a hoodie and a camera man
  • It was pretty shocking to come across this video. I lived two houses off 7 Mile Rd from 1969-1985 and my childhood was riding bikes, playing outside until the street lights came on, getting Bomb Pops from the ice cream man. How quickly things can change when a city’s people lose opportunity and hope. I pray for Detroit.
  • I’m a born and bread ALBERTAN , I went to Windsor Ontario once which is across the river from Detroit. At night you could sit on the bank of the river and here gunshots , I thought the locals were kidding. What a mess!
