This week we lift out to do some urgent repairs to our keel where we believe some water is getting into the boat and making its way into the diesel tank.

Although we don't ask anyone for money, people do ask us if there is a way they can help us keep making these videos.

  • Wow Andy,Wow Wow Wow......Sorry to hear about your plight on your boat...but on the plus-side...just knowing that since you have grown your Captain Birdseye's Beard....and being Ginger......You have probably got your photo, posted on every Gay Man's Back of the toilet door in the Country......Whats it like being a Salty-ol-Sea Dog ?....honestly you look quite a catch for the LBGT community...Please take this comment in a colourful flashy pixie dust way with lots of rainbow unicorns....I thank you.

I have never been on a sailing vessel before, land locked in the middle of the USA, but wow! Ocean Melody is such a beautiful boat! She looks so sleek in the water. Definitely a classic beauty.

Great work. You are making it work and doing what it takes to achieve your dream. I follow the channel as a regular viewer and would like to suggest that you slow down the crawl of your patrons and supporters, at the end of each episode, to reflect the appreciation they deserve.

It's not easy what you're doing. To please all the people and to do what you can. You try to do what's best for the family and at the same time what the money can do. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
  • @jameskiehm546
I would like to add, the boat has beautiful lines and your new hardtop Bimini really blends in nicely. Great job!

I think your cruising plans are BRILLIANT. An example to everyone, of how to enjoy, safe, risk avoiding family sailing. No matter what your experience, when you add in new 'elements' you need to relearn how they affect your sailing. You have more new things going on than most of us; living aboard, children on board, lots of new equipment, long term cruising, less access to; friends, known suppliers and trades people, less local knowledge, the list goes on. With your planning you will all be safe and enjoy many many adventures.

The water that it put in diesel tank should be colored to see if the hole going true to the keel...

Please dont let people sitting in a recliner watching your videos influence or discourage you. There are so many armchair quarterbacks and so few that actually do. Keep doing and thanks for sharing.

Please don’t be discouraged by any negative comments that come your way. Your videos are really inspiring, interesting and informative. I remember doing a lot of what you’re doing now on my Freeman 26 so its really good to see someone else working out how to do the same things I found/did. Anyway, great video again. Please keep them coming. I look forward to every Wednesday evening to see what your all up to. Cheers, Dave and Jackie Swain and family xx😊
  • You all appear so well and reflect a good vibe. Congrats on the progress
  • Epoxy in your hair, that reminds me of something. In 1982 I started my apprenticeship as a vehicle painter and in the first few weeks you only do light work. The son of the boss's brother started the apprenticeship with me and we tidied up the paint shelf with the cans of leftover paint and varnish. While we were doing that I took a can and shook it and I hadn't paid attention to whether the lid was firmly on the can. Of course it wasn't and all the paint poured over my colleague's head. He had green car paint in his hair for a few days.😂
  • @jamesvanian5524
Well done guy's. Thats another problem solved in your usual precise way. I am full of admiration for the way you do these things. Keep well and safe. James.
  • @Keatso11
Great work yet again and the way you explain what you are doing is fantastic ⭐⭐⭐
  • @paulwalker9423
What a great episode mind you they all are and always interesting so pleased this tank job will end fully repaired leak free and full of diesel a fully completed finished ticked ☑️ off job , those boys are growing up to fast ❤😊
  • Definitely would have thought an anode on the shaft or prop! Extra anode by the original or on the hull useless. Just go larger if that anode doesn’t last 6 months. We are also super happy with our Coppercoat after 5 years. Nice job on the keel. Hull under the water looks good mate, no need to lift again for at least 2 years. Especially if you dive on the boat regularly to check things.
