I was on Metoprolol and a statin. Started keto and IF now Ive discontinued both, and changed doctors. 30 lbs lighter and feeling much better. Thank Dr Berry!!
  • As a registered Nurse, I appreciate and share your videos with my family and friends. Thank you.
  • Started carnivore end of Jan because of Dr. Berry and have lost 18 pounds. All the joint pain I have been battling is gone as well.

I am on metoprolol. I am 59 and have been on blood pressure medicine since I was about 28. I was also on Atenolol. My blood work has never shown a triglyceride issue, none that was put to me. From watching this channel, and my health is in your hands Dr Ken, I stopped taking my statin. I've lost a good bit of weight lately on the Keto diet. And the best part of Keto is I can go much longer without eating and I am not stuffing my face all the time. I am not snacking. I am not eating carbs. I look a whole lot better and my self esteem is coming back too. I was depressed and embarrassed at how my weight was going. I could see this in how people looked at me and how they treated me. I'm still not a pretty boy/man but I look a hell of a lot better now. My big gut is now just some chubb. My calves were so fat that I had to pull my jeans over them. Now my pants fall right off. I can wear all of my size 40 jeans and again and I am on my way down to my older jean sizes. I owe a lot of this to you Dr Ken. Your videos are constructive in my life.

My sister was on danazol for years for a genetic condition we have. That raised her triglycerides so she was given a pill for that. She ended up having a non fatal heart attack in her mid 40s. Crazy situation

I try not to think of pharmaceuticals as bad, since they are life-saving for many but after watching the almost inevitable cascade of medications that take place when caring for the elderly and now being elderly myself, I strongly think we were not meant to take these as a steady diet long term. A med bothers the stomach, so another med is prescribed, which causes another side effect, which calls for another prescription and so on. And the patient is in misery so his or her life can be prolonged a year or more. What life? What are we doing?
  • I wish to thankyou Dr Ken, I live in Australia and I have been watching your videos for 2 years now. First I started with your keto video as a starter. The results are in, after 2 years of "dirty Keto and miles of walking". Body weight ↓ 10%, Cholesterol ↓ 15% and Triglyceride ↓ 48%. Even my own doctor was impressed with the blood test results, to quote him "you managed to reduce your numbers significantly" Never to late to reverse bad health outcomes!

I'm 60 ..when I was first checked at 18 I had cholesterol levels of 400 and triglycerides of 2500..doctors pretty much wrote me off..I've been on stations my entire adult life my fathers cholesterol was same as mine and he lived till 92 only being put on statins in his 70s..my point there is much more to life than meds and worrying about when you might die..take good care of yourself and LIVE each day and be kind!
  • @Slivings911
I thank God 🙏 that I’m in reasonably good health in my 60s and on no prescription meds. I’d be frightened to take MOST pharmaceuticals at this point. I’m so glad my own MD is a man of intelligence and common sense, and I think you are the same, Dr. Berry.
  • @lilytube282
Can you talk about Keloids "causes and remedies" pls ?
  • @yourenough3
I am going through perimenapause naturally , I just turned 50 and I'm not any mess and I'm going to keep it this way!! Ketovore and IF for me , lost 90 lbs and I'm so healthy it's beaitiful!!
  • @shannonblok658
As far as I know, you are the only doctor that makes this information known .. thank you Dr. Berry!
  • @EdPawley
Thanks for the info. Turns out I was on 3 medications with this possible side effect: Metoprolol, Lamotrigine, and Lurasidone. I have been fighting a losing battle with triglycerides for over 10 years, with the numbers becoming even more alarming the last five years. I have informed all 3 of my VA Doctors as to this info and requested change. Thanks again.

My goal is to share every video I watch of yours and and like. You have been so helpful. Side note, your last video you did about proper hi diet was hilarious. Great work!

I was put on HCTH and it raised my cholesterol. Then the doctor put me in Statins. I finally got aggravated because the statins wasn’t pulling my cholesterol down to where it was. I quit taking everything, norvasc, HCTH and statins and found a new doctor. He later put me on a beta blocker but I quit that because I couldn’t remember to take them. By that time I was doing Paleo and my BO was leveling out. After going Keto, I have an excellent BP. No meds at all. Not bad for a 69 year old.
  • @paulseidl4335
Another outstanding video on triglycerides...links that a low carb diet may help lower the stats...big pharma hates revealing the side effects!
  • @lenabreijer1311
Once you start taking medication, you need to get a good, close relationship with your pharmacist, they have spent years studying interactions and side effects, your doctor only learned to prescribe medication for issues. And frequently they are completely focused on the current issue, not on all your other issues. This goes double for specialists . When I had problems with my BP meds, they made me cough, I arranged a consultation with the pharmacist to find out the best replacement and took that to my doctor to get a new prescription.
  • I discovered Dr Berry a couple of months ago and only recently began to follow his dietary advice. I have already lost 25 pounds and am well on my way to seriously lowering my HDL. My finger sticks have been perfectly normal since the initial changes in diet - WITHOUT the Metformin I have been taking for over 5 years! This is so encouraging. Thank, you, Dr Berry! By the way... will you please do a video dedicated to educating us on pros (if there are any) and cons of drinking diet sodas? I am finding that, above all the other things, these are the toughest to give up completely. Thanks again.
