Knights Templar: remembered for being wiped out by a jerk king. Knights Hospitaler: forgotten because they still exist.

Hospitallers: When the healer of the party decides to invest in more strength, defense and equipment.

The knights hospitaller became famous for not only treating wounded Crusader knights with highly advanced medical treatment but also soldiers of the enemy as well. This order eventually morphed by various paths into the order of St john of Jerusalem and then The St John Ambulance Service
  • 9:04 Hospitals, food banks , charity and "Noble brothers of the sword routinely surrendering their warhorses to provide transportation to injured men after battles" , damn thats like a offering a jeep to some wounded guy. Goddamn say what you want about faith and Christianity these were cool dudes by actions alone.

Would also love to see the other “Lesser known” orders such as Livonia and Santiago

"You go to certain death" "All death is certain"

Hospitaliers were such bros, still helping the poor and sick even when they suffered losses on the battlefield.

It's kinda weird that the Knights hospitallers were dressed darkly as if they're going to wage war while the Templars were dressed in all white bearing a red cross as if they're medics.

Hospitalers gave the root to some words in different languages : - Hospitals and their derivations in a lot of languages. - To be "Hospitalier" literally means in French to take good care and nurture your guests. - Hospedaje in Spanish means a place to rest and find shelter. I'm sure there are more out there !
  • One of the most overlooked but in my opinion also the best catholic military order. Displaying bravery in battle and helping the poor and sick. What most people dont know, the order kept on fighting through the centuries, especially against the ottoman empire. At the Battle of Kosovo for example, the croatian Ban John of Palisna and his contingent of Hospitallers fought alongside the serb and bosnian armies. As always a terrific video.

The Hospitaller Order is the best order. 10/10, would hospitalize again.

As a Muslim I was not expecting that kind of an order. As the name goes I always thought they were just started as army medic then went on to became full knights. They were really good fellas actually, helping and caring for the poor, sick, old, orphan and defenseless. It is sad that we had to slay each other on battlefield because of our religious differences. Great video as always!
  • @exudeku
Templars: now known as those villains from an edge-fest game Teutons: literally Prussia and Germany Hospitaliers: Forgotten, but alive and kicking
  • @Forcystus85
So in other words, the hospital of the Knights Hospitalers had more space for intensive care 900 years ago than my country does today.
  • True servants of Christianity who truly reflected Christ. Noble, merciful, kind, supportive, and fierce when it counts. Im glad the order still exists

Bandit: That's a nice head on you have on- Hospitaller: writhes in pain Call an ambulance... call an ambulance! Bandit:... Hospitaller: But not for me!
