100% Live by principle, this in my mind includes virtue, Truth being the highest, honesty towards oneself and others. Lead by example. Treat others, including oneself, the way one wants to be treated.

There's not many genuine people about these days, there's no trust or much concern for one another, there's so many ways to look at a subject your involved with, getting rid of them or it, is the ONLY way!♡

As an observing and thinking man, I find many people who choose to stay in mean, pointless and superficial relationships rather than be alone. As a Stoic, I feel both contempt and compassion for these people. But I try to keep these feelings under control. But true friendship is a rarity. As a stoic, I choose life as a lone wolf where the light of self-respect illuminates my existence. I never give it up. Thoughtful people with a depth and pathos and code of honor. I love them .

There are three levels of emotional and intellectual maturity. The Ego is the lowest form of maturity which is very reactionary having little or no concern for the outcome. Then there is the Intellect which is the next level of maturity where we have learned to think through situations to have the best outcome for all concerned. In this regard the highest level of maturity is the Observer where we are not reactionary to other's expressions toward us. We see that the less than desirable way people treat us is really about them and not us so we do not react to it. Many times it is necessary to limit our exposure or outright walk away from people in this regard. There can be consequences for us in doing so and if we are emotionally and intellectually mature enough we learn to do this with minimal negative effect to us and them.
