  • Thank you for sharing the issues in your beautiful garden. I am in North Carolina US. We had no rain for the month of June and very hot, so watering every day. Then in July we have been getting too much rain. I am worried about root damage from the abundance of rain in thick heavy clay soil. Still hot, and 90 percent humidity. It is always a welcome challenge to learn what the plants are able to deal with. Just hope I do not lose too many plants. Keep the videos coming. Love your channel.
  • North America ๐ŸŒŽ We are in the Hot part of summer. I was there for the beginning of the new border. Love the way it turned out ๐Ÿ˜Š
  • I like that you think of your future garden for older age! I am in the similar position as beautigul gardens often are a lot of work.
  • Hi Marta, here in the UK we have had a mix of weather. Very hot then cooler and rain. My phlox are the best they have ever been and have become very tall. I absolutely love your petunia wall. Your new front border looks beautiful.
  • Your gardens are such an inspiration. I"m thinking of expanding a long bed along the property line but then I know I'll have more to take care of! Yes, please do a video on lavender pruning. I am in Washington state, USA zone 8b. My favorite annual this year is the Proven Winners Surefire Begonia. It is doing amazing in a couple of my containers. Next year I plan to use a lot more of them and also in the ground.

Here in the North of France the weather has been mostly cool with a lot of rain. The garden, however, is thriving, and the vegetable patches just keep giving. Next year, I will mot use cosmos it's such a thug and takes up so much space, branches everywhere, and still no flowers. Also, I have to remove some equinops because it gets far too big, I must say, though, that it is stunning. The sun flowers are a great success, and the star this year is my David Austin rose, Lady of shallot. Only 2nd year in the garden, and she just keeps giving. The dahlias are only just starting to bloom, but I think I will not be disappointed. Thanks for sharing your garden.๐Ÿ˜Š

Marta, your garden always looks so lovely. I wish I could get my supertunias to bloom like that! It has been a record summer for heat and humidity here in Massachusetts but at least the rain has been consistent. Weeding is my therapy. I listen to my audiobook and forget the world for a little while. (Listening to the Wolf Hall series by Hilary Mantel and narrated by Ben Miles. So good!)
  • Marta, I LOVE your garden. It is classic, but also abundant looking. Interesting hardscape and features throughout, but not overdone. So many plants catch my attention, but it is also a soothing space. And, oh my goodness, that wall of Supertunias! An absolutely beautiful garden! โค I was inspired to try some things in my garden. Thank you for sharing your garden. โค I enjoyed "walking" through your garden with you. You have a pleasant, cheerful and relatable personality. The whole video was very well done. โค I live in the Rocky Mountains of the United States, so with our dry weather and high elevation, that bring late springs and early winters, we have a lot of challenges. Do you have a video about how your wall of Supertunias was built? How many plants did you use to make your wall of Supertunias (just the three level part, not the sides)?
  • Here in ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ, boxwood caterpillars/moths have attacked boxwood bushes over the last couple of years . I donโ€™t have as many and I use BTK as prevention. Iโ€™m starting to use yew bushes instead.Your gardens are stunning!

Thank you, Marta, for sharing your garden challenges. I'm in the San Francisco Bay area & this summer has been extraordinarily hot also. White flies, bud worms, & spider mites are very difficult to get rid of.
  • Marta your gardens despite your holiday and heat still look lovely . Iโ€™m in West Virginia USAhottest on record. Yes one must supplement watering even after rains it seems the heat created more thirst. So many of my perennial bloomed quickly and then died back in the heat. Assessing removing those and replacing with more heat and drought tolerant. Challenges yes but buying new plants to try always fun . My garden is 32 years old so wow time for change right?? You have such wonderful info looking forward to the lavender pruning video. Thsnks for such informative videos.

  • Marta Your garden is always such an inspiration โค๐Ÿ˜ฎ Hot and humid in the US Midwest Kansas City area. I have terrible powdery mildew on my peony leaves again this year. Thinning them and Ani-fungal spay not helping This is the 3rd year. Think I will chop them to the ground and be done with them!!
  • Beautiful garden, Marta. Thanks for sharing tips & tricks. Too funny that some weeds were mocking you! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Iโ€™m in Michigan US. Our summer has been very hot this year but we have gotten a lot of rain. My Bobo hydrangeas that are normally fine with the afternoon sun seem to be suffering a little. Iโ€™m giving them extra water but some of the blooms have turned brown. I clipped some off to make it look a little fresher.
