  • This is the best McCartney interview. It's rare an interviewer can show how funny and playful Paul is, like this. Conan does the perfect job of, despite being a massive fan, still talking to him like he's a person and not putting him in the awkward position of total deference and fanning out. (Looking at you Fallon.)

Conan is such a great interviewer it’s unreal. No matter who he speaks to he gets them to laugh and open up. What a talent.
  • @tinytanks
holy smokes, paul mccartney is a master comedic improvisor in addition to a master musician
  • @erin2080
The balls conan has to have this much sarcasm with Sir Paul 😂
  • @dimitreze
I've seen thousands of Paul's interviews and this is one the best!
  • @stewhooey1294
McCartney refuses to be outsmarmied or outwitted. Hilarious.
  • @elma.s4825
"Well, I'm finished with you Conan", has to be the most threatening yet comedic line ever spoken.
  • @3djoe119
Great thing is, they never talked about the CD
  • @dimnimrod2978
omg Their dry humor fits together perfectly. Never realized before.
  • @neverwin2518
This is the most I've ever seen Paul McCartney laugh during an interview. Expertly conducted by a young Conan!
  • @conorlane1
Sad to think that this was shot just a few months before Linda died... Paul must have had a lot on his mind, but was still able to be incredibly witty and gracious with Conan.

Honestly, You can see Conan holding back the sheer joy of speaking to Paul McCartney. It's like he's looking directly into the light.
  • @aveenburney7463
Conan reached out to Paul’s wittier side, which I haven’t seen anyone else do since the early Beatles when they were being witty just by themselves. It’s great to see Paul open up like this, haven’t seen him crack these type of jokes in a while.
  • @assimo9841
It's insane how much charisma Paul has. Always so sharp and nice.
  • @mrogs12
Watching Paul be so funny and then remembering - oh yeah, he’s a genius.
  • @RKamomil1
It’s amazing how Conan manages to make everything funny even back in the 90s with a younger Sir Paul MCCartney who seems he really enjoys being there and following conan jokes.
  • @lumo
Knowing how big of a Beatles fan Conan is I can't believe how well he kept his cool (and quick wit!) in that interview. McCartney actually seems to enjoy talking to him! Granted, back then he hadn't given up pot yet, but still. Incredible! Come to think of it, he'd also make a fantastic guest on Conan Needs A Friend.
  • @tl4340
"Nobody may be seeing you again". LMAO. Paul is hilarious in this interview.
  • @JeffMusicFL
Dude the best part of this is seeing how quick, witty and funny Paul is that he doesn't even skip a beat with Conan!
  • @thomaslytle5519
Love how Paul rolled with all Conan’s jokes and was funny in his own right. Very cool
