  • Great Job UWW for posting these matches. Olympic committee should be ashamed for not giving wrestlers and other Olympic athletes the necessary publicity they worked so hard for
  • Love that Dake, Burroughs and Taylor all get to be at different weight classes. Not to mention the other beasts that the US has at the other weight classes
  • it seems dake has really spent a good amount of time these past 2-3 years working on his motion in the standing position. his footwork and upper body motions have such a smooth yet unpredictable rhythm, he's like a boxer out there
  • Congratulations to Dake. Controlled the match and Salk had no offense at all. Just a total shut down. As the commentator talked about, on the first day of competition at 74kg, Dake lately seems to suffer from very low energy, like a bonk. He looked exhausted halfway through that semi match although it was not that active a match. Not sure if it is the weight cut or what it is. But then the next day he looks like himself again.
  • Great win by Dake, a well deserved Gold for an amazing wrestler🥇 Kudos to Salkazanov for making another world final and taking home the silver 🥈 Slovakia Should be proud

Congrats DK 👏🏼🔥🇺🇸🌎🏅🏆💯❤️ Best footwork and defense on the World Team and I’m excited about the move to NLWC. Let’s go Kyle!
  • Пусть порадуется, пока нету Сидакова и Кадика )

The Iranian was a more difficult opponent for Dake in this year’s worlds.
  • Burroughs may be more decorated and. perhaps, the GOAT but I have always loved Dake's style of wrestling above everyone else.
  • Don't think Dake's semi-final win was because he wasn't ready. Emami has been superb in this tournament and was the second best wrestler. Hopefully you'll put the video of semis and third place matches too !
  • Ten weight classes in the worlds - TEN!!! Kyle Dake can move up or down in weight to avoid the tough matches like he did in college. He tried that in 2016 to get past Burroughs and finally make the Olympic team. J'Den Cox kept him out of the Olympics and between him and Burroughs Dake never made an Olympic team until Tokyo in 2021. He lost 11-0 in the second round to a wrestler that didn't even take the gold. Only 6 weight classes in the Olympics and they all bring their A-Game. These guys would trade 100 world golds for one Olympic true gold medal.
  • Noticed a humbler Kyle Dake this tournament, it served him well. Also, the Iranian was the second best at the weight and gave Dake a tough go, dont think it could all be atteibuted to Dake being tired.

Wow the technicality in this is insane

Frustrating how the scoring works, blue literally didn't attack the entire match but red is getting stall fouls.. wild
  • I would like to see a standard process at the end of the match, for example the protocol judo manages the respect for opponent, officials, and fans. I understand the disappointment of a loss but no one looks good huddled with head down and it is not good for the sport.

Ok, enough without the ref not holding the arm up for the winner. Some losing wrestlers just walk off the mat. Completely wrecks the moment of victory.
