was serving time as a marine on a naval ship, a during morning walk down of the deck they played this song over the loudspeakers. not a soul on that flight deck was silent, everyone knew the words and sang along. it was one of my best memories of my time in the service. we were from cities and fly over states, big and small towns, but we were all Americans. white, black, red, yellow, brown, color had no standing in our lives. we were all just people remembering home. it was truly a powerful moment.

I used to be a trucker for 16 years. I drove the US. I felt alone and unappreciated quite often. I know it was important what I was doing though. I love my country and songs like this resonate with me. Thanks for singing it Jason.

Most of this country doesn’t have a clue to what it takes to put food on the table. This song is great!! As a farmer it hits hard ! Thank you Jason!

My dad has been trucking for 44 years. Driven over 6.2 million miles. Long haul. He's driven through and visited all the lower 48. He said the heart of this country is some of the most beautiful country he's ever seen. Montana where the sky goes on forever. He just about seen it all. This song is for him ❤️

For all the farmboys and asphalt cowboys. Thank you to all the hardworking true Americans that keep this country moving with no glory!!!
  • @PaulThurlow
Travelled all over the USA on planes, trucks and cars. This song is always on and brings a tear to my eye, even though I am a Brit ."With a windshield sunset in your eyes Like a watercolor painted sky, You'd think heavens doors have opened" . How many times I have seen this. Great song!

TAKE A RIDE ACROSS THE BADLANDS, feel that freedom on your face, breathe in all that open space. That line gave me chills because it’s true.

Getting harder to listen to this song without tears. It's all slipping through our fingers. God Help Me I Love This Country More Than Life. 🇺🇸
  • @compton1808
This song should be our second national anthem. Anyone who loves this country and it's values will understand.

Anyone who lives in my neck of the woods --- Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, or Michigan understands the truth of this song, and the power behind it. We are just a few of the proud, the low-key and the lucky ones. Thank you for this timeless song.

I am a Black guy who served many years in the USAF. Back in the 1980s I received an assignment to Tinker AFB in Oklahoma that many told me would be torture for me. I spent 3 years there in what turned out to be a fantastic time with some of the finest people I ever met. The weather could be extreme but the experience was awesome. Found out later most of the people badmouthing Oklahoma had never even set foot there!

Discovered this song on a flight from Germany to the US. Still one of my favorites. Greatings from one of the few German country fans!

.. one of the best lines in music: most people have no idea how much " famers bust their asses for you and me" . Sun up, to sun down. People have no idea....esp those in first class from NY to LA. Thank you Jason Aldean for this great tribute.

I can't explain why this song hit me so hard. I'm just in tears. Filled with gratitude for all the regular, every day people who work and live their lives the best they can. The folks who keep this country running, who keep us protected and look after our children. The farmers who feed us, the truckers who get everything to us. Why does our leadership not understand ? This is America. These people, in all these little towns. #smalltownpride

I'm a Truck Driver and my little Brother is a freight train Engineer, Jason hit it on the nail head about us having a first class seat to all of this glorious nation. And all the Water color sunrises and sunsets we see bustin our ass to keep this country moving forward. I have driven through Indiana. Southern Indiana's lush rolling hills bordering Kentucky are some of the most spectacular countrysides ive seen.
  • I'm from NJ (the suburbs of New York City) and I understand how important the fly over states are. Not only are they beautiful but they work hard to make our food. Many thanks to you all! God bless America 🇺🇸

Jason has had many mega hits over the years but this song and video may be his absolute best. This is amazing on every level. Lyrics, feeling, vocals , instrumentation and production . Even after years it always grabs,me!
  • @naturelove3748
Canadian here! I've felt this to my core for years. I even sing it with a twang and ppl look at me. I guess I love good old America too 🇺🇸
