This is a 1.5 hour speedpaint I did to show some of the shortcut techniques I used when it comes to painting cityscapes, reflections, fieheye effect and bright lights :)

Thanks to everyone's suggestions, I slowed down the captions as much as I could. I realize it's still a bit fast in the beginning, but there was a lot of captions I needed to fit into there. I'm still new to video editing and I'll try slowing down parts of the video next time!

As usual, any feedback is appreciated! Please let me know how I can improve in the next video!

  • your use of light never ceases to blow me away, its almost like you get the feel of photography and put it into digital art. which is extremely appropriate with the themes of fisheye placebo.

can't help but to giggle thinking when she warps the window panes into place at 0:41 the window panes look like they're walking their ways to the sides of buildings

I really like your artworks, what you choose to express through them and how you do it, so of course I'm thrilled to see that lately you've been talking about and uploading videos. I know you re busy, but I can't help being selfish and wanting more videos. They are very helpful and incredibly inspirational. So, I'll just say this: please, even if you don't have time to edit and prepare a video, just speed it up and upload it without the captions. Even simply watching these videos would be amazing and I know we'd all love to get more content.

What? 1.5 hour? If I've to do this, it would take me like 10+ hours to finish it. You're amazing!
  • I really want to thank you for posting tutorials and speedpaints like this, you have no idea just how helpful and meaningful it is for me. It's one thing to appreciate and try to learn how to paint/draw/ect by squinting and analyzing pieces from some of your favorite artists, but it's unending frustration when you try and fail to figure out and replicate the techniques they use. This is the biggest problem I face personally. I want to try and better my skill because I really do love the making of art and wish to expand my horizons with color/style/ect. but there is no way I can figure out how to shade or color just from looking at art by itself. I'll try so many different techniques to figure it out, but I only end up becoming frustrated and ultimately give up because I cant do it. Videos like these are a blessing for problems like that. To actually watch in action and study an artist while they are in the process of working is SO helpful, it just boggles my mind. Though I do not have SAI or Photoshop, I'll still do my best to take what I've learned and apply them to my own art to hopefully better myself, but at the end of it all none of that would be possible without you making videos like this. Thank you, SO much, for everything you do; for creating, for teaching, for inspiring.... Please never stop doing what you do, and I look forward to seeing what other wonderful pieces you have yet to create.

Your art is so magical and it all gives me a certain feeling that I can't explain, but it's beautiful and mysterious. I'm not good with words, but you've got a wonderful mind
  • @The804R
Holy shit, all that in 1.5 hours? You are incredibly talented!
  • @Mixinnitup
Hey Yummie, love these videos! Always great to see artists helping other artists! And you're getting good at making these tutorial videos. I would like to see the process for something like "What it Takes To Fly" or "Connection" . One of my favorite things about your art is the use of color to convey the overall tone and texture. I'd love a more in-depth look at just how you choose, apply, and just how you use colors. I learned a lot from this one though! Very much appreciated.(you rock)
