I preferred the original face. It had a sadness to it which fits the character. It also looked like a guy who had been through a lot somehow. The only reason they recast was to get a more Tom Holland looking Peter Parker. I don't believe for a second it was any other reason.

The new face grew on me, but it really hurts seeing them side by side. Old Peter looked so real and down to earth. New Peter looks like a Kpop star

John's face was so much more expressive and showed the wear-and-tear of being Spiderman for a long time. The newer model looks like a kid who just squeezed themselves into a set of pyjamas.
