Demon's Souls: Dragon God Easy Guide

One of the worst-designed bosses in the whole series. Truly putrid.

I thought I had to bait him to hit the pillars. So many hours wasted. Thank you so much for this, did it on first try.

this boss completely destroys the pacing in the game. After the ecstasy of defeating the flamelurker all of that excitement is quickly destroyed by this dull, unimaginative "boss"

This is the only boss I struggle with, thief's ring is pointless, cloak is useless, pillars don't block attacks, and he one shots me every single time. Not to mention not one person puts their summon sign down there. Worst boss in the game.

I feel like the thief ring was nerfed on this boss because he must smells the old spice on my body and I get punched regardless of the ring on or not. 😞

Did they change this boss? I remember having no trouble in the original but in this one he just always sees you no matter which direction he's looking in.

i one hit flame lurker, and i died more than 30 attempts on this guy. God i love Dark souls.

Something that the tutorial doesn't tell you: When the eyes of the Dragon go red (meaning hes agroing,) there is a slight, but really slight time between him seeing you, and then pulling the animation for him to punch (this will help you more in the second phase.) Also, in the first phase, you will have to wait for him to look left before breaking the pillars, but make sure to start running towards them to break them when he STARTS looking left, that's because he spends only one second looking left before turning his head to the right.

Good vid My tip : ignore yes eyes to the side, pretend his nose is his one eye and he looks in one line.

Thief ring? Check! Heavy hitting weapon that takes out pillars in one? Check! Patience and waiting for yellow eyes? Check! Still having him one shot me with fire breathe every single time after the 2nd pillar? Check! This boss is awful

He still attacks me while im standing behind the pillars

Came here looking for answers but still didn't find them. Doing exactly what you're doing. I stand behind the pillars, he sees me every single time. Idk if this is a bug or what but no amount of patience has helped me here. I've tried every single possible hiding spot and he always sees me and one shots me.
