I feel sad for Charles, imagine you need to put on a smile to greet everyone when you had just lost your beloved mother. My prayers for the Queen and for the new King.

Right after his mother's death he knew his people needed him to be strong. He stopped deliberately to give people the strength his mother would have given at that time. God save the king!

Im not even British but you gotta admit Queen Elizabeth was fantastic Monarch ..70 years in public eye and not one foot wrong and always put her duty before personal stuff.

the fact that he stopped he limousine and shakes everyones hand walking over is amazing. and shows the amount of love and respect he has for the people as they have to him. truly amazing to witness. RIP to Queen Elizabeth and All Hail King Charles III.

I'm a Brit and I can honestly say, I have great faith in King Charles III being a good King. He's a good man with warmth in his heart.
  • Much like Edward the 7th, he will surprise everyone. He will make a fine king!
  • When I think of Elizabeth II I'm left thinking of a quote by Elizabeth I. 'Though you may have many mightier and wiser princes sitting in this seat, yet you never had nor shall have any that will love you better.' I'm certain Elizabeth II herself fits these words perfectly.
  • Very class from Charles, he took time to greet his subjects and even accept some flowers.

Look at the way he pats people on the shoulder and greeted the Indian man who was there to show his grief by folding his hands and even allowing people to kiss him. He’s going to be a brilliant king. I was moved by him and I will be praying for him. He is very elegant and I loved his address to the nation and world. I’m glad the majority of the English people are supporting him.
  • I love that the reporters were all wearing black to show their respects to the Queen.

He made a perfect speech. He also reassured the British public that his youngest son will not be part of the inner circle by mentioning he wished them luck in their lives abroad.
  • I'm really speechless. Hard to believe that The Queen has passed. Long live the King, Charles the III.
  • I'm not a British, I'm Asian, your king has visited our country, he's a wonderful person, you British peoples have the best king in this new era, Charles III, love him, strengthen him and always be united with him in any situation whether difficult or happy

There is something so regal and in-control about British people…No hysteria, no existential anger, disruptions to the transfer - just a dignified country showing solidarity with their new king.

Considering how resented he was a few decades ago, this is nice to see. I think he will be a decent king.

Can't imagine the feeling that family has knowing there are millions and millions of people sending their love and mourning their mother. Has to be a warmth to know she was loved by so many.
  • I was touched by the woman who kissed his hand….sympathy for a man grieving and honour for the new King. People’s faces are saying so much. I’ve only ever known the Queen as my Head of State…and now a King…strangely odd. 🇳🇿🇳🇿🐑🐑NZ

The king with the longest on the job training period 🤴🤣

People need to remember that Charles isn’t just a king…he is also a son who has just lost his mother and is grieving. Yes, he’s royalty, yes, he’s a public figure, and yes, the queen lived a long and full life…but losing a parent is still rough, no matter who you are, regardless of the circumstances.
