What is the best advice one can give to anyone visiting Hampi?
How about, don't try and walk along an unknown path in 40-degree temperatures with only half a litre of water left, knowing there would be no water source or any people around for some considerable time...
Finally, I reached the top!
The sense of relief was overwhelming as I really didn't think I was going to make it, but I couldn't hang around because I literally had no water and was desperate to get some. I had only had half a litre of water since leaving the Krishna temple around two hours earlier, and the heat was at its worse at this time of the day. I was fully aware of the dangers of having no water in this environment...
