I think maturity is synonymous with realizing that Load is actually a solid project.

Every time I play 'Bleeding Me,' I'm struck by the sheer depth and emotion Metallica poured into this track. It's more than just a song; it's a journey through struggle, addiction, and the fight against inner demons. I remember when Load first came out, and how it was underrated, but now, years later, the genius of this album is undeniable. The guitar riffs, especially at 4:48, are not just music, they're an experience that can turn anyone into a metalhead. James Hetfield's vocals are a technical marvel, showcasing his range like never before. This song, along with 'The Outlaw Torn,' stands out as a testament to Metallica's versatility and ability to evolve. It's not just the heavy or fast tracks that define them, but also these emotional, introspective pieces. As I've grown older, I've come to appreciate the profound lyrics even more - they speak to the soul. 'Bleeding Me' isn't just one of Metallica's best compositions; it's a masterpiece of lyrical poetry that resonates with anyone who's ever faced life's trials. It’s a constant reminder that in the midst of our struggles, we're not alone. #MetallicaForever 🤘

Only with the passing of the years do I realize what a great sound they achieved on this album.

What a fantastic album, underrated at this point in time. I broke my CD from listening to so much.
  • 2:13 "This thorn in my side is from the tree I've planted" This line stuck in my mind every time I complain for fail.

This song may not be their heaviest, fastest, most technical, most badass or something but it's for sure one of their most emotional pieces. When you grow older and start facing problems... so many of them coming "from the tree you've planted" you start to appreciate those two albums. They help me fight my inner demons. Listening to this song or Fixxxer or House the Jack build or Until it sleeps is like a prayer of sorts to me. I feel like I'm not alone in this...

I'm 60 and think this is one of their best albums and songs. This is my favorite track off it.

I feel like this song is one of the greatest vocal performances James has ever done. Technically and sonically. He really stretched his range and abilities on this one and it sounds great!

This song is magic. It's probably one of Metallica's best. I know a lot of people may disagree, but for me, this hits home, hard!!!!
  • As a steadfast oldskool Metallica fan (a snob), I avoided Load with a passion. Yet 27 years later, this track is now my favorite Metallica track. The lyrics speak so true for me now...

Bleeding Me and The Outlaw Torn are Load's best tracks. This album is one of Metallica's most underrated just because the best songs were simply too long to put on MTV.

The song that makes me a metalhead. That pure riff at 4:48 just hit me incredibly strong and gave me that amazingly powerful feeling of metal.
  • Saw these guys in February of 97 at the Kiel center in St Louis. I was 14. The most awesome experience of my life. It was one of the last things I got to do with my dad. I'll never forget it

One of their best. Overlooked at the time but I’ve had to buy this cd 3 times cause I play it so much. I leave one copy in my truck always.
