Welp, since my last tonemapping video, I have created an entirely new shader that is a lot more advanced than AdaptiveTonemapper. Instead of doing the ACES RRT tonemapping globally, it now only applies to local parts of the image, which means a lot more preserved highlights, shadows, and better looking contrast. ACES RRT is now runs in CIE Lab space to map the game's colors as close to real life as possible.
The shader can be found here, but note its very incomplete and not recommended for most people:

    hey what mod is that where the shotgun's animations are a bit different, and there are a lot more effects than normal Half-life 2
