Spongebob's Truth or Square: Squidbot's Permanent Block Glitch

Basically, Squidbot enters a permanent state of blocking (even when not in his block animation) during phase 3 if you ever attack him while not buff, which is persistent through deaths, and can only be fixed by reloading the level as a result. This is (as far as I know) not present in the Wii version.
I have no idea why this happens. Music is Vs. Madame Amberly from Crash Twinsanity because I forgot to turn music on for the clip and needed something.

Same thing that happened to me while I was playing! I could not get this glitch to stop at all!
