I've watched a lot of aerial tutorials and I'm only 3 and a half minutes into this one and I can already tell it's the best one I've ever watched. So detailed and informative! Thank you!

Could you do a back tuck tutorial? It’s been one of my biggest goals to get a standing tuck but I need some guidance to do it and I imagine that a lot of other people do too.

Whoa!! Thank you so much!! This was so much more visually helpful than a lot of tutorials I’ve seen. And the mentalness!! 🙏 🙏

Thank you so much for this tutorial. My daughter will definitely be trying this for a week to see if she can get her aerial. She has been working very hard and she said this is her dream trick!

Thanks so much! I’ve had an Ariel for a while but it has been far from perfect and this was really helpful! Love your channel!❤

What's fascinating is that many people like yourself teach to swing the arms back (Russian lift). However, watch your aerial at the very beginning. 0:00 You do not use this technique. You do the opposite. Your arms are up, side and then swing forward, not back. Watch it in slow motion. 6:14 This is your explanation. 0:00 This is the actual aerial. Different techniques.
  • I’m 35 years old, did gymnastics for a few years as a kid, got back into it a few years ago but I live in a podunk town (I will eventually move but can’t right now) and there is NOTHING for adult gymnastics. I’ve been driving ~2 hours to classes in a city but I don’t have anywhere to practice on a regular basis. I have spent ~$1000 over the years in gymnastics equipment and the best landing mats I have are a 3’x6’ junior practice mat, 4” thick, and some pieces of an old memory foam mattress topper. The two air tracks I have both lose air (I have tried numerous times to find holes using soap, haven’t found any.) I’ve been trying to get my aerial for about 4 years and still putting my hands down. I feel like I’m SO CLOSE to a breakthrough and it’s mainly fear that’s stopping me. The only way I can get a “soft landing” set up at home is if the soft mat is taller than the mat I’m jumping off of (e.g. 4 inch foam mat in front of 2 inch panel mat, with or without 3 inch memory foam.) is that okay? Would it be helpful? I’m going to try an open gym and a tumbling class at a new gym in the city as soon as this freaking eclipse is over (I live in central Texas lol) so maybe I can find something there. Why does gym equipment have to be so expensive?!?! Jk, I get it. I’m about to go work on my aerial on a panel mat on top of my secondhand trampoline because that seems to sort of work for me? I’m probably going to regret posting this. Thank you for the video, I haven’t seen much out there about the mental aspect.

Tysm!! I’ll prolly never get it even with amazing tutorials, but thats just how I am ;) but tysm for taking your time to make this to help people get their aerials ( p.s you make it look so easy to do, HOWW)

i know its been a while since this video has been posted, but i was wondering should i learn a standing aerial first or with a hurdle in it, im not sure if it matters but just wondering

This tutorial look nice and I'm currently trying your Prep exercises. Only thing I'm confused about: you explain a different arm technique from what I see when I put your video on slowmo. Your arms don't really seem to swing back at all. Is that an illusion created by the fact that you are rotating your body around your arms? Or just a different progression when you have the aerial?
