In this video I uncover a hidden area on the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Map that reveals that the city is much bigger than we originally thought it was!

This extended map that we can't access could prove we could be getting a bigger Map Extension in Insomniac's Marvel's Spider-Man 2 New Game Plus update or even in the first Marvel's Spider-Man 2 DLC or other extended games of the franchise such as the possible Marvel's Venom.

queens resident here, and I can confirm that “stark expo” is actually the us open tennis courts held in flushing meadow park in queens, New York

I just assumed the out of bounds areas would be accessible with future DLC

I've been there! So many of the physics are in tact, some glitchy cars too. Spent a good 2 hours exploring. Figured it's just primed for dlc

4:59 - In an interview, the creative director said they took a while to think about how much of the city to give players to explore. I'm betting that they decided that they would close off part of the area by making it an offset as a detail from a distance. That way the buildings covered up areas with less or no detail. Besides, why open up a larger part of the map if plot-wise or activity-wise nothing is going to happen there? By doing so, they saved time and resources.

2:16 I think this is the island where we see kravens first scene could’ve been planned to be an explorable area but was left out of the map.

You can also use the floating chair glitch to hop over the invisible wall. Much easier than the train pushing you out

There is some thing I noticed, there is at least one location that is just removed from the map. An entire loading dock that is in Miles Moralez that is not in here. Did anyone else notice any other inconsistencies?

Did you hear that on March 7th, Marvel spider man 2 update.

Maybe its cut content or content that will be finished for a later DLC? The jungle-like area maybe is where the cutscene where Kraven and that hunter takes place? it kinda looks like it.

my theory about the outside of the map is like you know how theres the lizard chase scene? and other chases or swings in the city. Thats what those cities are for, basically just areas u can only access through missions
  • @S2_Nukky
I just assumed they were saving it for dlc content

My guess is that since you can see the neighborhood from the distance they wanted it to be as detailed as the rest to not break immersion, that's why there's traffic and pedestrians and solid buildings. Near the Queens area where you said the buildings don't exist, there's a road where you can walk on that also has traffic and pedestrians, and that's where they all backtrack to come back into the playable area.
