Everything Wrong with Pokemon's Graphics

Dude its immersion. The game takes place in the past they didnt invent those graphics yet duh!

Literally looks like these fanmade 3D pokemon projects from the early 2010s

They are on a point where they can say "It's a pokemon game, people will buy anything as long as it's a Pokemon game."

Pokemon fans are hilarious. Actually trying to convince others that this proof of concept game is GOTY contender.

Everything you mentioned that isn’t in this game… is in BoTW. I once walked under a tree with a torch out and because there was an apple right above me the apple began to cook . The level of detail is astonishing.

I remember when the Switch came out and I thought "Wow, I can't wait until they bring pokemon into a full HD open world game" When I see games like Doom Eternal running on Switch, I just have to wonder wtf is going on at Gamefreak

"It's the artsyle" is no longer an excuse for lazy game design.

This whole thing is just sad. Imagine releasing this and not being embarrassed to all hell about it. The Pokémon company should be ashamed.

GameFreak must be owned by Ash, because they refuse to evolve.

Nintendo have a cash cow. They have tested the water here to see how low effort they can go. People buy it regardless. They are mugging off all the idiots that defend them. This is honestly the most visually boring and horrible game I have seen in the last 10- 15 years. Pokémon games are a quick cash grab for Nintendo now.

Ive been a pokemon fan for the last 20 years, and I must say - since the switch era, its mainly being dissappointed over and over again. I never was the kind of guy to harshly criticize things, nor the kind of guy who search for specific poor elements within things, but seeing pokemon as it is now... even I have my limits. this looks bad. not just the empty world, low res and overall style - the whole mindset of gamefreak nowadays worried me. people has to understand something - there is hate, and there is fair criticizm. hate is saying "every pokemon game is the same and sucks". but looking at this kind of game, on the impressive switch hardware and saying its not worth my money - is fair criticizm. and this comes from a guy who bought and enjoyed every pokemon game from the gameboy era up to the 3DS, but I just cant allow myself to support things like this. not half baked, gimmicky, easy to death games which cost almost twice as masterpiece like soul silver. I know writing this wont change anything and this will probably outsell every other pokemon game and like half of the main switch titles, but at least I know Im not buying this. like I didnt buy SWSH DLC and will double and triple check every pokemon game from now on. gamefreak may have changed, but so did I - Im still the pokemom fan I was back then, only now I dont allow myself to support low standarts such as this. back then I didnt have to since games were great, but now... yea, things arent looking pretty

1:20 - Heck, even Genshin Impact at it's lowest settings pulls better graphics than Pokemon Legends!

Botw worked because the world looked so beautiful. The graphics and the vast environment made it FUN to explore. But if the centre of Legends Arceus is literally just catching Pokémon and exploring the world... Then the environment HAS to look good, or it’s not gonna be fun to explore at all. Especially if the whole game is just gonna be wandering around an empty world with a couple of trees here and there catching Pokémon. Idk. Legends Arceus has so much potential to be a great game, but if Gamefreak know people will settle for anything as long as it’s Pokemon... I’m afraid future games will never get any better. Because why should they put any real effort in if they know people will buy their games regardless of quality?

LegendArceus is still better than the crap of Scarlet/Violet with price tag 60$ plus taxes they have pulled out.
