  • I got band 8.5 in speaking without using any idioms. Just as Chris always advises, speak naturally and don't think about what phrase or tense you should use. You'd be shocked how well you'll do in your test. Thank you so much Chris for your lessons, they were really helpful.

Chris you have really been a great teacher on my IELTS journey I wrote the wrong exam in 2022 and rewrote beginning of 2023 got my results today. I got 8.5 in listening, 8 in Reading, 7.5 in writing and 8.5 in speaking. Continue the great work I'm forever grateful 🙏🏾
  • Don't worry about speaking exam friends.I didn't use complex vocabulary but I got 7 in the speaking module, it's really about the confidence when we speak.

I got a band 8 in speaking and 7.5 in writing. I took IELTS Advantage's writing correction service and 1 mock speaking test. I also watched their videos and completed Chris' 3 day speaking challenge. Thank you so much to the whole IELTS Advantage team specially Chris! Definitely recommend them. They are the most authentic IELTS teachers online.

  • @Hasek7i
Thank you for making this videos and revealing the truth. I used to memorize idioms and phrases and actually used about 7 idioms on my test day which I learned from online "gurus " and I got 6 at speaking but now I'm trying to be natural and learning everything from native speakers like watching TV series and stuff like that. I really appreciate this and other his videos as well, thanks again 💜

Absolutely agree with everything you have covered here. It’s so painful to learn about other content creators who give crappy advice. I don’t plan on creating content but as an IELTS tutor myself I’m constantly having to get my students to “un-learn” shitty habits they have learned from YouTube! Thank you for this video 🎉❤
  • Chris your advise and videos helped a lot in my IELTS speaking, just watched your free content here, thank you and keep it up! I highly recommend IELTS Advantage.
  • @sidramaman

  • @Mrmark154
As a teacher who has coached heaps of students through IELTS, its so nice to see another professional giving the same advice I always do! So many students don't understand the purpose and marking criteria for IELTS. Just be yourself, speak naturally and don't try to sound like a textbook memorising robot. That's the trick!
  • You are an excellent teacher Chris you always boost our confidence without giving any fake motivation .
