Hey guys!! Finally back to some CREAM!! Been too long since we’ve hit them, back to the first days of the freedom shack! Was time and you all said this was the next one to do!! Where do we go next?! 🙌🏻🔥
  • George Harrison wrote it! He wrote "Bridge" at the top of the page because it was supposed to be just a middle section for a song... and Clapton thought it said "BADGE"... and they made it into it's own song! Very cool. Love this one.
  • You can tell George is on this song. Unmistakable. The only thing wrong with BADGE is it’s too short.
  • Cream may have been around for a few years, but they cranked out some JAMS! Also, a shoutout to George Harrison for his work on this song. I'd like to request Tales of Brave Ulysses by Cream because it's totally awesome.
  • "I FEEL FREE" "TALES OF BRAVE ULYSSES" "WHITE ROOM" "STRANGE BREW" "SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE"- Did y'all listen to this yet?
  • @vstraylight
Adding my voice to the chorus of cries asking for "Tales of Brave Ulysses" My favorite Cream song

This was George Harrison paying back Eric for his work on While My Guitar Gently Weeps. This song will grow on you I promise. Especially if you play and sing it yourself.

Deserted Cities of the Heart, Tales of Brave Ulysses, Strange Brew... so many great Cream songs left to cover.
  • George Harrison wrote this one. On his handwritten lyrics he wrote “bridge” where the bridge comes in. Clapton misread it as “Badge” and thought that was the name of the song

Great in 1969! Eric AND George. What more could a 16 year old Cream and Beatles fan want?
  • Being 76 now, I heard Badge back in my college days (the 60s). Always liked the line: “I told you ‘bout the swans that live in the park.” It had a preachy, didactic quality though sexy and very visual. Years later, I’m walking through Hyde Park in London on a trip from the US with my girlfriend along a stream called “The Serpentine.” There, suddenly, were lots of domesticated swans. Whether I was right or wrong, I will always consider that those were the swans Clapton was referring to! Enjoy your show, Fellows!
  • Cream’s “Tales of Brave Ulysses” should definitely be next, especially since you guys like the wah-wah pedal so much.
  • Everybody will want you to do Sunshine of Your Love, or White Room, or some other big hit single. I’m telling you, right now, you guys will love SWLABR from the album Disraeli Gears. The tone in Claptons guitar is groundbreaking.

The song has a distinct late-Beatles feel - and there's a good reason for that. As others point out, Harrison wrote it.
