Fried peanut butter and banana sandwich, Elvis-Style, but actually just some Half Price Books CDs

Sorry I didn't film the fried PB&B sandwich I describe in the video. I considered it but just wanted to eat. Otherwise, this is just about some CD music stuff I bought on the final day of the Half Price Books media 50 percent off sale.

I just came across the March 21, 1943 live recording of the Brahms Violin Concerto by a young Herman Krebbers (not yet 20 at the time) with Mengelberg and the Concertgebouw. There's a pretty well remastered version on the uchukyoku1 channel. If you haven't heard it, I highly recommend it.

The PB & Banana sandwich is good, actually, though I eat them rarely. Pougnet was pretty decent. I've heard some of his stuff, including a recording of "The Lark Ascending" with Boult and the London Philharmonic from the early 50's. Those 60's Karajan Brahms symphonies I also find rather lackluster. Still, overall a good bargain bunch.
