In this video, I have some news to share with my faithful viewers. I recently found this old farmhouse table. I first attempted to remove the 3 layers of paint. My plan was to sand this table and refinish it. I soon realized it was necessary to completely disassemble this entire piece, and slowly rebuild it. I hope you enjoy watching the process. As always, thank you for your support. Barry

Barry you honored the original builder of that table. You recreated their legacy in a beautiful fashion. Awesome job!
-
The thing I love about this little table, is that it comes from a time when nothing was wasted. It was cobbled together with different woods to serve someone’s purpose. I bet it was well used and hard wearing. Probably well loved too and appreciated. We have become such a wasteful society that it’s shameful what we throw away. I love that you have sympathetically restored this little treasure to live again, and I bet the original creator will be delighted with the result. xx

I know that creators like yourself have the right to keep their lives private, but thank you for sharing that you are in a relationship. I’ve always thought you have the biggest heart and deserve all the happiness. I love that someone can share your life and enjoy your creativity. Lucky person!
-
I am sure when it was created the person did not expect it to be an heirloom piece. You have created a beautiful reconstruction that will last much longer. It is beautiful.😊
-
If wood could talk, what a story this table could tell. Certainly a happy ending. Thanks for such a beautiful re-creation.
-
Barry, I am very Happy for you !!! You have traveled the world, something only some people can dream of, you have someone special , your business is growing, and you're getting better and better at your craft 😊
-
My goodness look at all of the life she has left in her now. Stunning!!!
-
Hi Barry, somebody’s love went into making that little table and with your love, patience, skill and time, you have honoured that person. That little table will live on to give joy and beauty for a long time to come thanks to you. Thank you for another wonderful video 😊

You never cease to amaze me. Who would have guessed that, under that humble and messy green paint, would be a beauty made of walnut. So, so pretty.
-
Barry it’s so nice to see you back to doing some furniture restoration! Thank you for taking the time to share your work with us.
-
I hope for your relationship to continue to grow and strengthen through the difficulties of distance and travel. ♡
-
A “My Fair Lady” story. Plain has become so pretty.
-
The community workshop is such an awesome idea, I absolutely love it! Great restoration, Barry!
-
Your narration is so thoughtful & gentle. You’re a wood-working Bob Ross;)

I could hear the table breath with a sigh of relief when you were removing the green paint. Your word on Birch mattress did nothing to convince me in getting a Birch I have already decided that when the time comes that's the mattress I'll be getting. Unfortunately I am unable to take advantage of the 4th of July offer. Even with the discount not sure I can afford it. I like this choice out side your norm. It show how truly skill-full you are.
-
Thank you Barry, for showing us that even old beat up things are worth the effort to make them usable again. Excellent restoration.
-
Almost 100K, congrats.

It's because we realize deeply how fragile life is, that when we see something in ruin, we want to restore its life purpose. It's a symbol for us of our own fleeting life, and our need to bring meaning to it.

Wonderful to see you using all the tools in the community workshop. Also delighted that you shared about your relationship, you are too great a guy not to share life with someone special.
