They tell me I speak fluently but there's so much grammar I'm yet to master in active use, e.g. the category 4 lo in your video. Thanks, Paul! Yours might be the most useful Spanish-teaching channel on YouTube.

A Spanish speaking co-worker told me that I had to learn and understand all the uses of 'se' and 'lo' in order to understand Spanish. This video was a big help, thanks!

As an Arabic speaker, "lo" is almost exactly the same as a word we often use in Egyptian Arabic all the time, which is "elli". I think its formal (standard) Arabic equivalent is "Alladhi", which roughly translates to "that which", but in Egyptian Arabic, we use "Elli" a lot more. Thank you for the video! ❤️

You really blew my mind with this one. 🤯 I had no idea that lo could have all these different meanings. Thanks Paul
  • Lo que me agradezco es que nos explicas unos puntos de gramática complicados de manera tan clara! 🎯 Gracias Qroo Paul.👍

Thanks! Very informative. I always use the literal translation of Cosa and being to use Lo instead makes a big difference in many ways. I agree with your emphasis on the Subjunctive as The Keystone, but I think instinctively using and comprehending prepositional phrases and idiomatic expressions are a close second, such as "Lo antes posible y a lo largo de". Well done.
  • Really appreciate this video about "Lo",now I understand better lo and his significances

Not only are your lessons lo mejor, I spend a great deal of time with the comments which often deepen my learnings. You are building a great community. Thanks!
  • When I was visiting friends in La Penita de Jaltemba, as strange a name as there ever was for a town, we visited another town called, Lo de Marcos. And at the time, I could not wrap my head around what the Lo stood for in Lo de Marcos. I finally settled on, those. Those of Marcos. The people that live in the town. If you have another interpretation I'd love to hear it. We are talking about Nayarit, just north of the well-known Sayulita.

Wonderful. I've been wondering about category 4 for a while now. As usual, a very helpful video. Thank you!
