I’m not sure the average person can fully appreciate how hard it is to maintain that speed AND stamina.

Not used to seeing anyone hang with Boling on that opening 400 leg. Incredible race! Honestly couldn't see who hit the line first without the slo-mo replay.

I love the last 50m of every leg of the race, you can see the pain they're* feeling in their stride

The 3rd leg won the race for GA period. As a sprinter, I can tell you that what he did was INSANE. Maaaaddddd props to McCray!!!! And to Godwin for bringing it home.
  • @scrumpymanjack
Godwin got VERY lucky at the end. The dip was just a spasm across the line. Kind of a miracle that he got it. But very intelligent running by Georgia's third-leg athlete, who forced Florida to run wide the whole way around.

Man, that was about as close a race as I've seen. You couldn't tell by the naked eye who won. Whew! Feel for Florida but props to Georgia (especially Boling).

3rd leg was the key for Georgia. Blistering start and never gave up the lead once he had it.

Florida anchor leaned too early. I think if he would’ve run through the line he would’ve just got him. Will be a good re-match at NCAAs.

UGA will be in the running for the NCAA 4x4 Title I wished that Boling was the anchor!!!!

Skillful stretch at the finish by Godwin!! This was one hell of a race! Florida was knocking!!! And Boling.. woooo!!! That 1st hundred was faaast! And how about third leg?!! Man was cruisin!!
  • I still get butterflies watching this race. Brings back memories of 60+ years ago

Bryce McRae's quick take over at the beginning of the third leg made all the difference here, Godwin crowded the line on handover exchange and stepped pretty deep in the way of Florida, much more of that he could have been dinged for interference, think that's what saved him from Florida's anchor. Godwin's wide swinging arms make him a bit harder to pass as well. I'm not complaining or calling foul, it's the way the game is played, just calling it like it is.

McCray made the move that won that race. No way anchor holds off 400 Champion from Florida without the lead. 4x4 indoor is all about running in front

I came here to watch Bolling... but was more impressed by Bryce McCray (spelling? McFray?) He made a statement after the third leg handoff that opened my eyes. The man took being a bulldog to heart!
  • @SBC581
Florida got 1,2, &4 in the open 400. They lost because the Georgia runners were more aggressive and had Florida running in lane 2 the entire race.

You Dawgs are the best I'm fan since Boling came to UGA and Godwin also for Champs UGA Football From Hyannis Mass. You guys have great coaching UGA will get better in your sports too! Cy P.

anyone else think “damn they look like they are moving slow” but you know well they are averaging 45.x’s?
  • @mikeld135
Third leg for both Ga and Fla were impressive. Ga won because of the first and third leg, but Fla made them work for it! Tennessee had a strong showing as well.
  • @Horzzo
Godwin is a tank. Built more like a running back.
  • Matt B is one heck of an athlete. 45 second 400 m in the 4x4 indoor. Strong 💪🏽.. U of FLORIDA and Georgia made it exciting
