the fact sonny stayed around until you got better farther proves cats are smarter that we think they are. mine didnt go until my mother held her and said its ok to go. she passed moments after she said that. but sonny will always be with ya man. as long as you remember him he lives on with you.

Our cats are a chapter in our lives, but to them we are their entire novel. He definitely helped you through your struggles of all these PB's, and you helped him through the times he needed you the most. Happiness is all that is needed to be had on this planet from both sides, and in his afterlife world. Congratulations as we always say, and don't ever give up. We as a community love you as a brother and nothing can change that.

Congrats on the -15 man! I know how hard losing a loved one can be, my father passed a few years ago. When I was little, we had BfBB on the PS2, and he loved it. 100% it God only knows how many times. I found your history videos and the 100% walkthrough you did with TomatoAnus not too long after his passing, and Rehydrated came out around the same time. Watching your speedruns and playing the remake has, for me at least, felt like keeping a part of him, a part of our connection, alive. Sonny may be gone, but he'll always be a part of your journey, both with this game and in the rest of life.

Funny how the game fought tooth and nail to keep you from getting a sub-42 and then your next record is a 15 second jump! Good work man!

Loved watching this one live. Sonny will be missed, handsome and loving cat. I loved hearing you talk about how he was always there when you got water or went to the restroom. His memory will live on. Congrats on this crazy run SHiFT.

I wanna say first that I've never tuned in before and this is my first time seeing you speedrun, period, and on one of the games that I grew up with as a kid (if on Gamecube). Your run was really stellar to watch and above all else the love you showed for your cat, and him you, shone through the entire time, pushing you onward. Really amazing to see you nail this amazing record, for an amazing game and everything. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I’m not going to say “I know what you are going through” because everyone’s cats are special and different. Sonford was and always be, one of the greatest cats that ever did exist, hope you feel better SHiFT, may Sonford always fly high.

Being able to communicate with your pet through facial expressions alone, knowing the intricacies of each others beings is something that will always be cherished. RIP Sonny

Shift, please take your time and take as much of a breather as you think you need/can handle. There are many many many many many people amongst your fanbase who have all lost someone dearest to them. I have. More than once too. Just know that with that level of empathy you have shows how caring you were for him. And surely, if animals could talk, he’s thanking you for the life you’ve given him and he loves you. Again, please take the necessary steps to overcoming grief and you’re gonna be okay. And remember, you are a content creator aspiring others.
