The intro with the motorbikes is the intro for Twin Engine, it's the company that is producing Vinland Saga (producing as in financing the anime) while MAPPA is the company in charge of the animation, so in Twin Engine produced animes they always change the logo at the end with with the studio they hired to animate it

Even though the studio changed, the core team that is animating season 2 is still the same people that animated the first season. So its still the same team. Mappa did change some core staff but not a lot. So expect the same quality or even better.

Wit had to drop it due to the fact they were going bankrupt. Production had already started when they dropped it, and the team was going to be disbanded if no studio accepted. Mappa had already hired the director beforehand (he would've still done it at Wit had they not dropped it) so they picked up the show before the team dissolved, which means the team is basically the same with some minor differences.

The poem in the begnning is Icelandic. It´s the closest related language to Old Norse you´ll find spoken today.

It’s the same situation with WIT and Vinland saga, and Attack on Titan. The production for the second season would have been too fast a turnaround for their liking so they had the option to wait a stupidly long time for them to make the second season or just give the property to someone else. Mappa is usually always willing haha

14:06, why is actually pretty easy. So those were slave traders that Einar, that woman and other slaves were sold to who will then sell them to a master. Her being sick to the degree she was is really just defective product, so reason number one, she is already useless as a product. Reason number two, can't have the slave traders themselves or the other product becoming infected with whatever she has. Also as it pertains to the stray arrow that got Einar's mother in the back, should look at it as a stray arrow or collateral damage. Bowman aren't perfect aims, plus people run and move and if you shot an arrow that missed it's intended target and went off god knows where you wouldn't be all that concerned about it. I mean even re-using arrows back then just wasn't something that happened much if at all because arrows back then just weren't that good and weren't durable enough to be used multiple times.

For the Basic Behind the Scenes info, and speculation, on going from S1 -> S2: Due to heavy financial issues around 2019-2020ish, it is assumed WIT Studio dropped this IP as it was too much do manage at the time given the circumstances. Most of the "Core/Key" workers were freelancers who had the ability to work wherever hired so after a year or two it is assumed that someone at the MAPPA production board decided that they would look into acquiring the series for a second season. When carried over, a large majority of the "Core" staff remained which is why the visuals appear near identical to the first season. The first 10 minutes is anime original content. I love that there's an emotional emphasis on Einar's character. I felt that rage during that scene transition. 😶😶😶

It's so wild going from season 1 when Parker and Nicole joined the reaction and everyone was laughing at Parker when he was talking in the intros like a 'professional' and like taking it too seriously, and now in season 2 Morgan doing these awesome super serious 100% effort opening and talking passionately about a show she really loves. So great.

Bummer that Parker and Nicole couldn’t be apart of this reaction, I was really hoping they would. But it’s definitely understandable why they can’t be. I do hope they watch the season eventually. I can already tell that this is going to be very good.
