An Amazing 2024 Mecha ARPG That NO-ONE WILL PLAY

Level 5 released an amazing ARPG this year, and they did NOTHING to support it's release. This is potentially the sleeper hit of the year.

The game is called Megaton Musashi W. There, now people can check the comments and see the name.

It doesn't help that you failed to put the game's name in the title or description.

You had me at Level 5. Normally I don't pay attention to publishers but after years of gaming under my belt I can at least recognise some of my favorite publishers and Level 5 in one of my favorites. Level 5 brought me things like Fantasy Life, Ni no Kuni, The White Knight Chronicles and the Yokai Watch series. It normally doesn't get much luck with their releases which is unfortunate as their games are real solid.

Bruh the return of Armored Core has had me foaming at the mouth for more mech stuff, not marketing this was criminal.

Level-5's refusal to release a physical version of the game is what killed it outside of Japan. Physical games themselves act as great marketing long after the original release. Even Snack World - which was published four years ago - is still available physically in stores. Hopefully Fantasy life i and their other upcoming titles are available physically in English. This game deserves it.

As this was digital only and i have a massive backlog, I added this to my wishlist and may buy it in a year or so when it gets a discount.

I’ve been playing it, and it’s absolutely amazing but impossible to fill a lobby and play a multiplayer game 😂 as a Hololive fan I was surprised to find popular Hololive members voiced some cast, and they have free stickers in the game, and you can buy Korone as a virtual assistant in your mech. So that made me happy. Oh, and the story is so good I put off watching the anime because I don’t want to spoil it in any way. It’s crazy how much full animation they have in this game and I imagine it’s just from the anime as cutscenes because it’s an absolute ton. How else could they afford to do that not sure.

3:24 Wait they got a Voltes and Combattler collab?? And is that the Mazinger and Getter Robo silhouettes I see?

When it comes to niche games, the best option is to find the largest discord dedicated to that game. Easy to find groups in those discords for smaller titles

You’re not lying about the lack of advertising. When I saw it on the new releases on Steam I had no idea what it was and only pieced together that it was a rerelease so a switch game. That being said, I got it on my wishlist waiting for a sale. Level 5 has a lot of respect from me because of how obsessed I was with Snack World: The dungeon crawl’ on Switch.

Thank you for the recommendation, sir! Putting this very high on my list, probably will play it between Daybreak and YsX
  • @alumlovescake
I am more of a Mechwarrior and Lost Planet mech person but mechs are mechs and you can not go wrong with them.
  • @trythis2006
more should know about it because its really good, actually quite nuts, the amount of content is IMPRESSIVE, if you like loot and mechs, buy it
  • @obake6290
Someone in a Discord I'm in enjoyed it greatly. I have it on my wishlist, but I am in no rush. Backlog and all, you know how it is.
  • The amount of disrespect for not marketing this game was baffling when this game has a huge potential to reel in new fans.🤦
  • @DarkKnightGrimm
Looks awesome and I love Level 5, but no physical edition, and 70$ for a digital game is just outrageous. I added it to my watchlist in hopes it will go on sale some day.. Maybe Play Asia has a physical copy????
  • @PersianGamer36
I get ocd obsessed with mecha only games about once a year for a month or 2 I love it.
  • @alterego5550
I'm glad you brought it back to our attention. Looks good. I definitely might check it out.
  • @ravenf6
I've been streaming this game for the last few weeks. While some folks might feel a bit put off if they're not used to visual novels, there is quite a bit of good stuff to this. For the moment, the story is still going, though that may wait for Level 5 to make a major update, and I'm looking forward to more.

I have been playing this for 20+ days now, finishing the story at around 80 hours. It does go a little wonky by the end, but the character carry it for being very faithful to the Super Robot genre that this is a part of, and there are so many builds and abilities to look through to find your favorite.
