At CannMed 24, Ethan will present “Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS): Unraveling the Gordian Knot”. CHS is an enigmatic condition where some chronic, heavy users of THC develop a cyclic pattern of vomiting and nausea that is only relieved by hot bathing and topical capsaicin. Ethan and his coinvestigators surveyed more than 500 cannabis users, including 205 diagnosed CHS patients, and investigated genetic mutations in 28 CHS patients and 12 controls to identify behaviors and genetic markers that could indicate CHS risk.
During our conversation, we discuss:
⦿ What is CHS and who does it affect
⦿ Why cases of CHS appear to be on the rise
⦿ Possible genetic markers that could indicate CHS susceptibility
⦿ Steps cannabis users can take to prevent developing CHS
⦿ Why some people in the cannabis community don’t believe CHS is a real thing
⦿ And more!

I have just been diagnosed with this syndrome today after another trip to hospital for a saline drip, I'm sad as I am going to have to give up a 35 year hobby/habit but I've at least got peice of mind I now know what's been giving me this vomiting bouts for the last couple of years on such a regular basis, I gave up alcohol & class A drugs 7 months ago after yet another hospital visit, never thought for a minute it would be weed making me ill, I am scared of what's to come as I'm 52 and I've never been straight since I was 17 years old, well here's to the rest of my life living a life of total sobriety 😢

You have 14 comments and only 6 remaining messages. Which means You are deleting what people are saying about their own CHS experience. Are you really trying to help people with information about CHS or not. Because I have been suffering for 3 years with CHS and when I write my experience on your channel you deleted, why is my question to you
