I’m having a blast with my low tech approach to these backing tracks. It’s an amazing practice tool for so many reasons.

The sweetest blues playing, aged like a fine wine with a healthy sprinkling of tasty jazz and country added. What an inspiration Guthrie is

I always listen to Guthrie play with great pleasure, great talent in his fingers and head, greetings from Poland👍

Jesus!! first 5 minutes (and all of it actually) are pure gold. Are blues licks, phrases, melodies, ... all of them just there.
  • @VonBluesman
Nothing can touch a person’s soul musically like slow blues. Thanks Guthrie. 👏👍🎸🙏😎✌️
  • Damn GT...what a clinic! Double stops, crazy bends, octaves, appegios, diminished runs, jazzy turnarounds...you name it. This is an absolute buffet of licks and riffs. Ill be eating on this one for a long time. Thanks for this amazing lesson Maestro....!

Hey Guthrie, you're a great teacher! I learned 2 very useful licks, the difference between a major 7th and a dominant 7th, and an easy walk from the A shape to the G shape. TODAY! I LEARNED ALL THIS GREAT SHIT TODAY! THANK YOU!

OMG and GT is my guitar teacher! I'm the luckiest man in the world 🌎😀 This may be the happiest slow blues I've heard. Thanks GT.

You have such a command of the instrument. It's mind-boggling how many hours it must have taken to get where you're at. WOW!
  • @bigrig4385
I am so glad you slowed this one down. It was hard to choose good notes with the tempo of the last one. Cheers, Mr. Trapp.

Dearest Guthrie, as always, great to hear you my brother! At timeline 16’47” is where I come alive! The mixolydian or “dominant 7th”, (friends, don’t get hung up on semantics. Leave that for the classical musicians! Sorry guys!) When you get loose and start connecting chords, arpeggiating, hitting color tones, it’s just damn beautiful! BTW, I’m still hoping that one day you’ll explain that one minute improv in C# minor using your 1969 ES-335! I just hope it’s before I’m dead😅. Be well, my brother, here in Greece, I had a bad summer with fires, and lots of people in the ER where I work as a nurse. Still, every now and again, you’ll post something challenging that will make it all worth it! Peace +friendship!

The guitar and you are just ONE living organism man! Love it!!!

This would make a great subject/theme for an Underdog show.
